Started off well but soon proved a great disappointment

Three trips to the repair shop at about $150 a shot makes this an expensive item. Making my own bread -- a quite light-textured one -- has reduced my machine to a screaming, grinding paperweight (again). Supposedly a "Pro" model, this only comes up to...

Attachments for pasta making and meat grinding worked well and dough-hook did a great job (at first). For light beating and whipping it's super

Heavy tasks, e.g. breadmaking place too high a load on the internal gearing which, being plastic, strips the teeth. Used only in conformity with the instructions, it proved itself not to be up to the task

NOT THE MIXER FOR YOU, IF YOU LIKE WHOLE WHEAT RECIPES

We owned a regular Kitchen Aid lift stand mixer for 13 years and LOVED it, but when we decided to upgrade to a heavy duty bowl lift mixer we were in for a very big disappointment! Regretably, we gave away the first mixer and theirs is working better...

I owned a lift stand mixer for 13 years, and loved it. I used it almost daily wihtout problems. My new bowl lift mixer can make double batches. It worked well for a year an a half

Can't handle double batches of whole wheat dough. Gears 'give out' after only 1 1/2 years! NOT A HEAVY DUTY MIXER

A kitchen must have

A must have for any kitchen, it is a little spendy yes but it replaces all those other gagets. The only thing bad I have to say about this model is it would be nice if it had the arm that lowered the bowl instead of having to clip the bowl on to the...

How long can a KitchenAid last?

I bought the brand new Pro 500 from Ruelala in Nov, 2010 and it is not working now. I did not use it very often and I used it lightly. I used it about three times a month to make some bread dough. It work great in the past while all of a sudden it...

6 Years + 1,000 loves of bread + 2 motors = Still going strong!

Absolutely Love This Mixer The lift style was a little weird at first, but I adjusted quickly. I've had it 6 years, moved it 1,800 miles made over 1,000 loaves of bread with it, burned out one motor, and am going strong with it's second motor (which...

I love my kitchenaid!

I've wanted a kitchenaid for years and I finally was able to get one for Christmas! I love it and it's a great mixer. It's like my baby. The only thing that kind of sucked was that a recipe said to mix on lowest speed and my kitchenaid couldn't really...
