Oster Classic Beehive Blender

Maxell’s Encore EN-5 offer a rich, full sound for an affordable price, beating out nearly all of the headphones in the test. However, our testers didn’t think they were very comfortable, nor did this pair do a good job staying put during use....

Mixed Drinks, Pureed Sauces, Smoothies! Oh My!

I've had a few blenders in the past that had all sorts of bells and whistles, with multiple speed settings, changeable blades and more. But none of them compare to the Oster Beehive Blender. This model is a real kitchen workhorse, and it's fairly...

Makes perfect mixed drinks and smoothies, blending ice into the drinks to perfection

A little hard to clean, leaves clumps of ice cream in milkshakes

Look at my pretty new blender!

I bought the Osterizer Blender because it matched my kitchen appliances. Much to my surprise it's actually a very well-made, well-functioning blender. It seems like it has been around for ages, so they must be doing something right!

Attractive, durable

lid is a bit odd

This Beehive Blender has a sting

In my never-ending quest to find a blender that will last more than a few months I set out and did quite a bit of research on which ones consumers liked, hated, suffered with & fell in love with.

2 Speeds make it very easy -- crushes ice like a dream

a little on the loud side

Beautiful, but no one is home

I needed a blender, and I saw this in the store. It was from a good brand and looked nice, so I bought it.

Looks cool

One speed. Not good at crushing ice. Can only blend soft foods

A vintage Oster beehive: When older is better, like me!

The vintage cardboard box is as faded as the brown, torn receipt inside ... a crumbling, rust-colored repair order with an antiquated Los Angeles "RIchmond 7" phone exchange on it, written in blue pencil and dated September 9, 1955.

Built like a tank, looks like a collectible, works like a charm

One speed fits all

powerful and reliable

Our blender has been the life of the party on many occassions providing us with frozen frothy drinks by the dozen. The motor just won't quit. It is pretty simple without a lot of special settings. There is just an old fashioned switch up and down. Yes...

Simple and powerful

A Rush of POWER

This blender is proof I am lucky. I won this blender from DirectTV for watching the Wedding Singer on Pay-Per-View. I thought it would be a cheap blender. I was so pleasantly surprised.

Power, and easy to clean

only one speed

Stylish, Easy to Use and Good Performer

Product Specifications

This classic blender blends margaritas and smoothies, mixes soups and sauces, chops fruits and vegetables, grinds coffee beans and nuts, grates cheese and coconut, and crushes ice. The blender has a high speed and a low-speed pulse control, which can be held down for continuous action. Its 40-ounce, ribbed-and-tapered glass container fits onto Oster's distinctive beehive-shaped base, which is clad in lustrous chrome and outfitted with slip-proof rubber feet. Its stainless-steel blade-assembly removes for cleaning, and the container is calibrated in both ounces and liters. Fully assembled, the blender stands 16 inches high on a 7-1/4-inch-diameter base. With the exception of the dishwasher-safe glass container, all parts--including the plastic lid with its plastic 2-ounce measuring insert--require hand washing. The blender carries a one-year warranty against defects, and its instruction booklet includes dozens of recipes.
