A piece of junk and no customer service

A piece of junk and no customer service

I bought this Proctor Silex mixer because I needed something fast and we live in a small town so I bought this at the local Family Dollar store. It was under $15 and I did not expect much but I did expect it to work more than a few times without dying...

Proctor Silex "EASY MIX"

Proctor Silex "EASY MIX"

For those times you don't want to lug out the big stand mixer for an "Easy Mix" (boxed items, etc.) this is light and handy and does the "easy mix" jobs efficiently. Something thick, yes, it gets slower, and if it struggles with your job, quit while...

Not worth 15 cents!

Not worth 15 cents!

Bought this mixer for 15 dollars at a local Duane Reade store. First time I used it to mix a cake batter, it slowed down, sputtered, and died. The motor has burnt out and it won't ever recover. Thanks for taking my 15 dollars, Proctor Silex!

Junk, broke after after a few uses

Junk, broke after after a few uses

This mixer is junk. While it did a reasonable job at first, the cheap plastic interior holding the beaters in place broke after a few dozen uses. You get what you pay for!

Great Mixer especially for the money

This mixer is not expensive and does a great job. It is easy to use, clean, and store. I bought this because I wanted a cheap mixer that I would replace when I got married, but this mixer is so easy and powerful that I just had to keep it. It does a ...

Bowl rest is a great feature, inexpensive, ease of use, cleaning, storing.

Good for the price

Good for the price

You get what you expect for the price. It doesn't feel solid and slows down when the going gets tough but works well for a small kitchen and for people that aren't cooking for more than 4.

A good starter mixer

A good starter mixer

If you need a mixer to make standard items like cake, cookies, pie filling and crusts, this is a good mixer to have. It has 5 speeds and is easy to clean.

Rusty Beaters?

Rusty Beaters?

I received this a shower gift a few years ago. Standard mixer, can't do anything too drastic with it, but I noticed the last time I took the beaters out of the dishwasher they had rusted. These are not stainless beaters and they will rust. I'm in...

spend a little more for a better mixer

spend a little more for a better mixer

this is clearly a case of "you get what you pay for". for easy jobs this mixer works fine, but give it a thick batch of brownie mix or cookie dough and the motor will just die

I WAS surprised.....

I WAS surprised.....

I was in need for a cheap mixer, for thanks giving, this is the exact model that I got from target. I was surprised what this mixer could do, for only being 125 watts. It did handle great too. I was mixing a big batch of oatmeal cookies for my big 14...
