Proctor Silex 59735 Immersion Blender

This no-frills hand blender doesn’t come with any accessories. In our tests, it couldn’t purée a thick vegetable soup in two minutes and the short blending shaft means you can’t submerge it in large batches of soup. While the price...

Looks cool

Doesn't say the capacity of the hopper. Improper details = no sale. This is a staple detail of this product and it's missing

What a Piece

The blender will make you about several shakes before something blows in the back and sends smoke out. If you plan on making an ice blended beverage, it will do a great job with everything, except ice. Im not trying to sound like a seething cynic. Its...

Affordable blender

Cheap. Easy to use. I recommend letting frozen fruit thaw in your liquid(s) of choice overnight in the fridge for a perfect smoothie every time

Minor funny smell if you blend continuously for too long

Love this little thing

Time will tell how long this lasts. The first time I made a shake with it, I smelled ozone from the motor. But, it's working great for the price.

I got this as an aside while doing my daily Newegg tech shopping. My company delivers free fruit once a week, and I thought that this would be a good way to do low-impact single serving smoothies at work. Quiet, easy clean up, you can drink right from...

I had been looking for something exactly like this for my morning protein shake. I was getting tired of washing the big blender and cup every morning. New Egg comes thru again!!!!

Perfect for single user. Compact and cord winds under unit. Very inexpensive

White(wanted the black but it was a bit more expensive). Would of liked to buy an additional cup

My 2nd one on the way

I have been using the black version of this unit for some time and it is one of the best things I think I have ever purchased. That one is still going strong, but when i saw this white version as the Shell Shocker i had to get a spare at that price....

Very convenient, easy to clean, takes up very little space and works like a dream if you use it properly. Pulsing in lieu of continuously holding down the button will minimize the load on the motor and extend the life of the unit, particularly with...

Some say the lid is cheap and leaks when blending, but I don't see this as a problem, unless you overfill it. Even then, it has a slope to keep the liquid from spilling

Cute and Functional

I have used this many mornings to make breakfast smoothies. It handles frozen fruits when mixed with a liquid and/or yogurt base. One thing it cannot handle: whole frozen banana. I nearly burned mine up trying that. I suppose it could have worked with...

No need to pour out; just blend and go! Takes up very little space. Easy to clean. Has a travel lid to prevent spills and allow drinking with a straw

Short cord; motor not as strong as a full sized blender. Wish it still came in red
