Easily one of the best budget 22-inchers on the market.

Acer is a company that knows how to make high-quality, low-cost products, and this monitor is no exception. For around $230 the AL2230 is for the value-minded users who want a large monitor. I actually got it for $190+tax at Best Buy. From what I've...

Low price; decent contrast ratio; out-of-view speakers; built-in a/c adapter

Light bleeds from edges for dark images

Reasonably Good for a Good Price

I will admit being sucked in by the lower price of this monitor. All things being equal I am pleased with the monitor. However, with a reasonable users guide I may be able to 1) adjust the position of the monitor; 2) tweak the clarity; and 3) adjust...

Not Happy with the quality

I'm giving this a poor rating because i'm in the process of returning my second one for a dead pixel problem. These were on sale at the local Best Buy and I couldn't pass up the price, but having Red Dots in the middle of the screen is not making me...

Nice price on Sale

Have had to return 2 due to dead pixels

Great Buy - Perfect

This is a great monitor period. I don't need speakers or anything else, so that is fine. Screen goes almost edge to edge. No bad pixels, very high resolution. I paid $199 US with a rebate. Wow!

Big, bright, great color, what's not to like

No frills, display only

Really Solid Monitor

Awesome picture and features for price and the only ding is it's a pain to physically work with monitor stand and connections.

Excellent picture, decent control setup and adjustability, works really well with both Vista and XP. Great price and value. Unit is very stable on its stand

Mounting stand is badly designed. Access to video inputs is requires hand and wrist contortion abilities worthy of Houdini. Difficult to disassemble for wall mounting or to reboxing for RMA (not monitor - stupid ABIT m/b - NEVER BUY ABIT!!!)

Excellent Monitor!

Amazing Value for the price! Very Bright screen (I had to turn the brightness all the way down). Excellent colors, sharp pictures and text. You could get a better monitor, but not for $260!

Size, Cost, plug-n-play set-up on OS X, Brilliant colors, Sharp Text, no ghosting in gaming and Very bright! - oh, and no dead pixels

Very slight bleed through ov light on bottom of screen (All 22" LCD's have this problem). The speakers are on par with an AM radio form 1950

Built to last

I picked up two of these in the summer of 07, both moved to another country and back in my time owning them. The first one died from exposure to the elements (the cold) but it's brother is still going strong. I am writing this as almost an obituary; a...

Very durable ; Good color ; Decent viewing angle

Little backlight bleed, one of my two had a stuck pixel that I was able to massage out

Great at first - died in only a year

It was a great monitor while it lasted

Too bad it died in just about a year. We should be able to expect a monitor to last more than a year ; At first I thought that my computer was corrupted and failing to load. Then I realized the monitor was just staying on for a couple of seconds, then...
