Ferrari F-20 20" LCD Monitor

Sports cars don't impress me, but Acer's Ferrari F-20 does. This 20-inch-diagonal wide-screen monitor looks gorgeous and sleek, and its display quality is quite high. More impressive still: You get all this for a low price of $470.

Excellent image quality Eye-catching design

User must install DVI input

All in all, the Acer Ferrari F-20 is a sweet little machine. Its crisp, colorful screen images and its design panache would be tempting even at a higher price--but as of 5/18/06, it sold for a competitive price of $470. At that price, this 20-inch...

Acer F-20

Capitalising on Acer's relationship with the Ferrari Formula One team, the F-20 is a top-notch widescreen LCD monitor that is equally well suited to gamers, office workers, and even those looking to watch DVDs on a PC.

Clear, consistent, accurate image ; DVI and VGA inputs

No TV Tuner ; Red and black design may not appeal to all

Given the generous screen real estate and outstanding picture quality, we can't help but feel this monitor should ship with a TV tuner. It could then do double duty in a lounge room, which would be a significant bonus given the AU$1499 asking price....

Acer F-20

Acer's partnership with Ferrari has produced some quality laptops over the past few years. Now the firms are adding a little glamour to the world of flat-panels.

We thought the F-20 would be a high-concept case of style over substance, but we were pleased to be proved wrong. Obviously it's not to everyone's taste, and it does carry a big price tag, but this is a quality purchase that won't disappoint.

A superb screen that excelled in our tests, but you can get the same performance for less.

low power

Very Very Light! Lighter than some of my textbooks for sure. 2 lamps instead of 4 which saves power. They are perfectly bright enough. I have a dell 1800fp sitting right next to it, 18 inch 4:3 screen. I watch videos on the dell while doing work and...

I ordered this on walmart to spend my gift cards. Why I selected this monitor over all the others: 18.9Watts maximum power usage. I measured this with a Killa-watt power meter which registered 20Watts, nominal considering a +/- rounded number from .9...

Supplied DVI and VGA cables are extremely flimsy and thin. Cost savings I would presume. Teal Acer logo every time the monitor is resumed from power off state or from standby. Not that much of a problem ; Box came with a Windows driver disk that allows...

Outstanding Monitor

If you've been wanting a red monitor to complement your rig, this one is definitely a great buy. Slightly dated now in 08', but still a STUNNING monitor and worth every penny.

Best looking gloss monitor on the market, bar none. Very high quality gloss, could pass for CRT 'glass' look any day of the week. The paint and finish on the stand are excellent and the controls for the monitor are intuitive and easy to use. Up and...

Class.... Cash....

This is a good solid monitor… and looks very sharp… but ultimately fails to meet it goal of being a true enthusiast monitor… Now I purchased this monitor at its opeaning price… it has since fallen all a hundered buck… but is still about 100 over a...

This product was designed to be of gamers envy... but falls a little short ; Ok so what are the positives.. The mointor is no doubt in a class by its self... in what we can realistically call teh 19" widescreen market... Allthough it seems to find it...

Lets start with the body… the place for the HD cables isn't the greatest… but that's far from a problem… And everything about the body is really top notch, with the exception of one thing… The Ferrari emblem… Now I know you have seen people say one...

Follow up to 4 days and faulty

None

You must return this monitor to Acer if it is faulty and they will REPAIR not replace the monitor. I had it less than 30 days and they refuse to replace it only repair. "Our warranty agreement is to repair not replace a faulty item ; Worst customer...

Acer Ferrari F-20 Black-Red 20" 8ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 800:1 Built in Speakers

Zero Regrets.

Great looking chassis. You can't see it too well in the Newegg pics but it has a nice texture below the screen, and the logo is very slick (not a sticker but an actual painted applique). Some people I showed it too thought it was "really red, too red"....

Even with 8ms reported refresh I still detect a tich of streaking in games but its very minimal
