For a monitor that cost little it's very good. It does have some minor problems such as the grays and pixal drift. It also has some viewing angle probelms where colors are SLIGHTLY distorted. I use this monitor for photo editing so I'm more picky...

Well all I can tell you is Wow.......once I connected this monitor to my new gateway computer...and hooked it up via my HDMI Cable......this monitor is full 1080p.....and can be used as a tv on your computer if properly hooked up..

I purchased this just for my computer so I can't comment on hdmi or pip.

the highly glossy screen DOES create some contrast issues. it looks the brightest if viewed from a higher angle than where the monitor rests. if you have a workspace set up to lower the monitor, all of the extra contrast seems to vanish.
