Acer Predator GN246HLBbid review

The Acer GN246HLBbid is a 24in monitor aimed at avid gamers, but you'll need the right graphics card to get the most out of it. Here's our Predator GN246HLBbid review.

The GN246HLBbid may have a fast refresh rate, but the relatively high price, unimpressive colour accuracy and limited viewing angles mean it isn't great value.

Blue dot... WHY?!

My family owns about 10 monitors, and none of them have a dead pixel. Very disappointing to buy one with a dead pixel.

Works as expected. 144 frames per second. Looks nice. However...

Dead pixel. Permanent blue dot in the center of the screen. Very distracting and ugly.

-exactly as described -no dead pixels -substantial difference from 60hz -great colors

-bright(ish), not really an issue for me

Decent monitor. Arrived damaged. J

Need to take better care with shipping. I still love Newegg however despite this one disappointment.

Overall the monitor is decent. 1080p, 144hz

The shipping box arrived badly damaged as if something fell onto the box. It has caused some distortion in one area of the monitor with the display. If this had not occurred I would be happy with the purchase.

Awesome monitor

I think that for the price and what you get with this monitor is spectacular. I have not tried the 3D feature only because I do not own a compatible graphics card, but is definitely a plus when I upgrade and can use it.

Has everything I was looking for. I have not seen any ghosting on any of the games I have played. Shipping was fast. No dead pixels or any damage to the monitor on arrival.

My only con is that the brightness of this monitor at 100% is way to bright for me, but its not that big of a deal and is an easy fix.

Very good for the money

- For the money very hard to beat.

- High value performance for the dollar - Very low to no lag

- First monitor had one dead pixel and one stuck green pixel....c'mon Acer!? Thankfully there is Newegg who for 15 years has supported me and exchanged it no issues and the second is dead pixel free. If I could wish for more more improvement in this...

Awesome monitor but no 144hz option

Can you help me with this? I have a i7 intel and a AMD Radeon r7 240 for GPU (a little too old). I'm using my DV/I but it doesn't give me a 144hz option. Can you help me? I can just see 59hz and 60hz.

-No bugs -Quality is perf

-No 144hz option -Too bright (if you can calibrate brightness then scratch this off)

Great Color and Brightness. Really bad Vesa and stand

All in all, it's a cheap high refresh rate monitor with good reliability, but positioning this guy ergonomically will be a major challenge. I would stick to the stock mount and have something that sits on your desk to raise up the monitor to eye level.

High refresh rate. Great colors for a TN and highly adjustable. Variety of inputs but no Display port. Comes with a very small AC to DC converter which is nice. Super light weight monitor. 24" is great for 1080p CHEAP!! Zero panel issues.

Really horrible stand. Almost NEEDS a vesa arm Catch is, the way a Vesa arm mounts to the monitor is horrible. Flimsy plastic and the monitor shakes with any typing moderate typing. Light keystrokes only.

Awful since day 1.

Even with the problems I have with my faulty monitor, it STILL looked better than my old, ancient monitor I was stuck using for a while, but that's honestly not saying much.

Got the monitor on 11/8/2015 Since the day I got it, it's looked like a flashlight was being shone in it. I RMA'd as soon as possible, but I had become too busy to ship it back and in the end...

Does it have DVI-D? And HDMI 1.3<?

I am just wondering because it is not very clear in the description of the monitor. If it does not have either of these it actually won't show 144hz, Anyway just wondering if any of you could give me an answer.

My cuticles taste like
