Cool monitor, sad that I can't take advantage of refresh rate

Super bummed, I could get a 60 hz low response monitor for less than $170, but if I get a new computer in the coming years I'm sure I'll love this monitor.

Monitor itself is beautiful, colors are great, brightness is great, darks are great. The issue being that it won't output over 60 hz unless you have it on DVI-D. Coming into the monitor, I didn't know that you had to use display or DVI-D to to get 144...

No display port, which I didn't think would be a big deal but it has turned into one

Very solid monitor

If you spend a extra 30 dollars to get a monitor stand Its the best deal you can get around. If you really want the best out of this monitor you need to play with your gpu settings and monitor settings to get the best possible picture like any other...

This monitor is great for gaming. After you do some lighting adjustments on your gpu and monitor. It works great. I had no dead pixels. Packaging was solid. It comes with the DVID cable for 144hertz advantage (remember hdmi can only run at 60hertz)....

The only con to this monitor is the stand. That's what is poorly built on this monitor. Overall it is light and solid. The stand is what makes this monitor a cheaper build quality

Excellent monitor for the money

Still a great deal. Should come with HDMI cable, though.

144hz refresh rate

Does not come with HDMI cable to take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate. Only get 60hz without it. Took one star off for not including the cable

5/5 will recommend to friends.

Some have said that this monitor sometimes goes down to $150. If it dose, i will probably impulse buy another!

Very good picture quality as i dont have a IPS to directly compare it to right now. 144hz for desk top use is great! After using it, I don't like pulling windows to my 60hz second screen. Just looks choppy. No dead pixels. No Gsync/freesync but for...

No real complaints. No adaptive sync, no DP, on screen display sucks, but dosent put even a dent in my opinion of the display

Nice monitor

I gave it to my wife. It looked better on her computer using the HDMI cable then on my computer using the Dual DVI cable on my computer. The down side is that using the HDMI cable, it will only set to 60HZ. On mine using the Dual DVI I could set it to...

Very bright color. No dead pixels. Text was black and easy to read. I am not a gamer. I bought it because of the price and Acer has a good reputation for LED monitors

The plastic on the back for mounting it to a VESA mount is a bit flimsy. When I would move the monitor I could see from the back that it was flexing to much to my liking. I thought that over time the back might crack. I put it back on the stand and...

Acer GN246HL

144 hz ; 1080p ; price was lower than the 120 hz monitor I bought last year

obviously cheaper build quality than one would hope ; 144 hz takes some time to turn on

Great Monitor

They have the "while supplies last" tag on it now. Hasnt been on sale since I purchased it. (I'm wanting to purchase another, but holding out for a sale)

Refresh rate is where its at. Moving windows around looks like your moving a real object. Brightness is great and crisp. Blacks looked good ; Cant beat the price

Uh, brightness is great? You may have to turn down in some scenarios

Acer GN246HL

Was a low price if you redeemed the rebate that was offered at the time I purchased ; 144hz and 1ms are nice features for gaming

3 stuck pixels very near center that I couldn't clear up. Once I noticed them its game over, as I would always tend to look at them. Really aggravating to see that on a brand new monitor ; I experienced terrible ghosting, mostly when looking at images...

Great Value

Saw a reviewer blast this display for having really bad ghosting. Coming from a BenQ RL2455HM I know a lot about ghosting. This display exhibits barely any ghosting, I have noticed it only a handful of times (less than 3) in more than 30 hours of...

I bought this monitor on sale for 180 and at this price it's a solid deal. The response time and 144Hz display is great. Color reproduction is about what you'd expect for a TN panel, nothing to complain about there

Stand lacks any adjustment aside from tilt, Sits pretty low. Input variety is pretty lacking, would like to have seen a displayport input and some sort of built in speakers if paying full price for this display

Excellent panel, cheap stand

Great monitor overall. Snagged it at an awesome black Friday price (2014). Even at the current price it's a good deal. Couple nit picks mentioned above but neither are worth docking a star... Got an Ergotron Neo-Flex stand very soon after purchase...

Nice looking design, nice picture, no dead pixels, great for gaming. 144 Hz = no more VSync! And this monitor is indeed 144 Hz and can keep up

Switching between inputs is a bit slow, slower than the nearly decade old monitor it replaced. But not a deal breaker. Also I wasn't quite fond of the included stand...sorta flimsy and no real adjustment. Also not a deal breaker
