Acer H235H

The Acer H235H is typical of this class of displays: It's based on a six-bit TN panel that uses frame-rate control to augment its color depth. The screen delivers 23 inches of viewable area at a native resolution of 1920x1080.

Minimal backlight leakage around perimeter

Inefficient and frustrating monitor-settings buttons. Poor contrast. Warranty doesn't cover backlight

The Acer H235H’s features and performance put it in the middle of the pack, but its three-year warranty is unusual in that it does not cover the backlight.

Acer H235H

The H235H's cool glossy blue cabinet and piano black trim are a refreshing change from the usual black on black color scheme used on many of today's monitors. And there are no physical buttons on the front of the display to disturb its clean lines....

Stylish design. Three video inputs. Good color and text quality

Weak grayscale performance. Tinny speakers. Limited features. Narrow viewing angles

The Acer H235H delivers a sharp, colorful picture in full HD, and handles small text with aplomb, but it has a few performance issues, including weak grayscale reproduction and narrow viewing angles.

Acer H235H LCD Monitor

Acer has entered with a swanky new 23 incher LCD monitor, sporting a few brush strokes and extra hours in its aesthetic form. It's called the H235H - a higher model than the previously reviewed H233H, this time with juicier rated specifications, which...

The backlight is very bright, that’s a good point, and also there is no coloration or tingeing at high white levels, thus whiter shades are depicted quite pure and clean. Even the displaymate color tracking tests yielded quite pure greys, thus the...

Acer H235H

A good 23-inch monitor with full-HD support and a matte screen. Offers good features, decent onboard speakers, at a fair price.

Looks ; Port placement ; Feature set ; Performance

The Acer H235H doesn't really claim any performance awards--it's a good performer. If you want a good-looking 23-inch monitor, with matte screen, which supports full-HD format and comes with decent onboard speakers, for Rs. 9,100, the Acer H235H is a...

Monitor was great while it lasted

If you (as the company) are going to produce products that will be faulty and cover a warranty up to 3 years, then prepare to fix these issues instead of screwing your customer over again and again. Customer service is ridiculously rude. The only...

Looks great, good response time. Used it for gaming (CoD/BF/Others), no dead pixels. All around WAS a decent monitor

Broke just past the year marker of owning it. I was using it as a TV for my Xbox and about 10 minutes in - it just shut off. Complete black screen and a blinking power button. Contacted customer service and after about 45 minutes of telling them I've...

Let me give you the very short version of what ended up being a 2 hour ordeal. Dealing with Acer customer service was the worst experience of my life, yea, worse than passing kidney stones. First of all none of the people i spoke to could speak...

Looks nice ; Decent price, but for what i went through they should have paid me

Extremely loud (can be heard across my house with doors closed) buzzing noise when its on. Seems to me like a short, but i don't know much about the inside workings of a monitor ; The worst tech support ever

plain and awesome

Def not as good as an IPS panel, but that said, this is just awesome bang-for-the-buck monitor. Even at $189 or 199 it'd still make an great value. Highly recommended. Strangely glossy fine back cover for the monitor? I wonder if it needed to be that...

simple, no frills - bought it for my secondary monitor / ps3 monitor. Plug and play for both dvi and hdmi. Easy to figure out on-screen controls. Great refresh rate for gaming. Slightly better color reproduction than my older pair of Samsung and Dell...

2 itty bitty little details ; no VESA mount for those who want to use their own stands ; did not auto detect Acer drivers in WinVista, have to install drivers from internet or disc ; Neither of which bothers me and thus no points taken off

Excellent Monitor

Bought this as an upgrade from my 2 year old Acer 22". You wouldnt think an inch of screen size isnt much, but when you plug this in and turn it will be amazed by the real estate. {Gave my son my old 22 which has worked flawlessly.} Cant wait...

Just plugged it in 10 minutes ago....WOW! This thing is huge and bright. No dead pixels and text is bright and clear

Well its been to several LAN parties and it has a better image quality than my friends monitors so I believe it was a good investment.

I was the first person to buy this monitor when it came out on Newegg. Before this I had a 15 inch CRT, which took up my entire desk. Being my first LCD monitor I was a bit nervous that I got a bad monitor, so I did my homework on contrasts, colors,...

The Acer eDisplay Managment has no options to turn off the dynamic contrast. You have to do it via the screen menu ; Dynamic contrast is quite pointless ; The screen is hard to clean ; I you blink incorrectly the frame will scratch ; If you play games...
