Awesome

No dead pixels ; Awesome contrast, deep blacks white whites ; Easy to assemble ; Excelent price point

Only con was the shipping. They put the power brick on the screen side, was lucky it didn't get damaged

No speakers!

Decent video...contrast is a little soft

Who makes a monitor without built-in speakers anymore? I guess I should never assume anything

No VESA or DVI connectors But decent picture

This monitor does not have the VESA screw holes that are required for the dual monitor mount that shows up as "frequently bought together". It also is fairly unusual that it doesn't have a DVI port. It has one VGA and two HDMI ports instead. The cables...

Acer S230HL 23" Widescreen LED Monitor

Our old monitor went belly up and we only had two choices at the local store, the same brand monitor we were replacing or this S230HL monitor from Acer so we purchased this one.

I hope that updating only every other pixel doesn't become a common cost saving measure for other companies also. I don't even know how you would find out about details like this without purchasing a monitor and seeing for yourself.

These monitors are bright and look pretty good for static scenes. This makes them good for uses like writing and viewing web pages. They are also extremely thin and light, which is nice

The manufacturers seem to have skimped on hardware by updating only every other pixel at a time, so that in moving images such as games, you can see a distracting grid pattern. Even in still images, I can see a grid when I move my head. I have not seen...

Very small gripe.

I really like the monitor for its intended use. The light weight takes some getting used to, coming from a LCD monitor that had a few pounds on it. I have one gripe, it is that the buttons are awkwardly placed. Even if they were on top or side it would...

Not actually 23 inches

Should be advertised as a smaller monitor.

Cheap, decent picture

At maximum resolution, there is a black border around the screen so that the display does not fill up the full 23 inches

Dead Pixel

It was a very good price

The stand is somewhat small. It had a dead pixel on the first one that they did replace for me. It doesn't fill the entire screen. It has a black border around the edge. I've tried everything to get it to use the entire screen. Both monitors had this...

Awesome!

I came back to order a second one and it's deactivated?! I MUST GET ONE MORE NEW EGG. HELP ME!

I love this Monitor. Hands down the best one I've ever owned. Super thin, and looks great. The colors are perfect and I honestly have no complaints about it

The stand feels week but doesn't really effect it at all. Very minor complaint
