Of all the monitors we reviewed, this one has the lowest power consumption

The Acer S231HL has minimal adjustability, which is inconvenient

The convenience factor is what hurts this monitor. Improving that alone would have made this monitor measure up far better.

BAD COLORS and TERRIBLE REPAIR CENTER (NO PROBLEM !!!!)

Don't waste your money on ACER, buy a better brand name and get a good monitor/display.

Nothing good to say about ACER

Off colors: blues are purple-ish, reds are orange-ish, yellow and green off-color. I returned to Acer Repair depot in TX, they returned to me as NO PROBLEM! Either Techs are color-blind, or they know this model HL is bad. I think the L is for LED backligh

Does the job

Very nice 23" monitor. Very bright. I am completely pleased with these monitors. I bought two of them to be mounted on my (Planar Dual Monitor Stand) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824995006

don't buy.

Cheap

Dead pixel lines. I have 7 vertical full-screen lines that show up as different colors. Red, yellow, teal. The red one came first after a year of use. The others came along later. Would not recommend

Still testing

So far so good. This is my second Acer monitor both wide screen. I use the other on my secondary computer works just fine. I like this one because I can set it up with larger print without loosing part of the text.
