Acer S243HL

The Acer S243HL offers 24-inches of screen real estate, a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a 2ms response time

An aggressively priced LCD screen that’s supremely capable in the visual department. An exceptional value-buy.

Awesomely crisp colors and images, blacks are very deep and bright colors pop out ; no blurry/streaky images ; speakers are LOUD for their size and don't sound too bad considering

none so far, a top notch product

LED = win

I don't know why people knock an egg off this monitor for a lot of the reasons they posted. You won't find much of a better bang for your buck deal really. I also noticed someone gave it 4 eggs and on the cons section put "none" ????? Really?

LED backlit ; 24 ; 2 HDMI inputs ; great picture quality ; price isn't bad, all things considered

No remote, no big deal ; Menus is a little hard to get used to, but once you know what you're doing, it's a snap ; Speakers are terrible, but if you're shopping for LED monitors of this size for how the speakers sound, you should just save up more $...

Lowest power consumption LED 24 inch

I put this system together with a newegg barebones dual core D525 atom with ION graphics and a 80GB Intel SSD so the entire system with monitor running consumes 37 watts and is faster with a better display than my previous Pentium M system. So if you...

I live off-grid on solar power in the northwest so there is not a lot of extra power to spare. Did a lot of research for the best 24 inch LED display for the least amount of power consumption and this monitor amazingly only pulls 17 watts as read on a...

No VESA mount ; No height adjustment for ergonomic eye level ; Way more pluses than minuses

Great if set properly

I was initially very disappointed in purchasing this monitor because the picture quality initially was terrible. However after a bit of research on the internet and utilizing some suggestions for other reviews, I was able to configure this monitor to...

Cheap for an LED of this size ; Energy Efficient ; Far less buggy than my old 24 inch monitor

The picture quality is quite bad if not set up properly ; (See Other Thoughts) ; No DVI input had to purchase a separate DVI to HDMI cable to use for under $20

Acer S243HLbmii Black 24" 2ms(GTG) Full HD LED Backlight LCD monitor 250 cd/m2 DC 8,000,000:1 w/Speakers

Very nice monitor once you get it calibrated. I love the thin depth,, and other people are commenting on how nice the colors look

Nice

Several friends have the SAMSUNG XL2370-1. It's generally $50 more. I'd honestly prefer that monitor over this one having used it several times. Better deeper/darker blacks, and over all color back ground.

Not bad. Took some time to get the color where I like it. Wish it had a DVI connector on the back. I really like the slim design and support stand

There are better ones, but they also cost more. Don't expect a $500 monitor for $250 ;-)

Great monitor, just needs a calibration

Amazing monitor. Great for games and great for coding/document review. I can have 2 documents opened in word side by side and easily see them both. I can even show 2 pages from one single document side by side. For gaming, the monitor just seems to...

Amazing response time, but hard to get used to. (I talk about this in the cons) ; HUGE. If you're going from a 17 or 19" monitor to this, you will just be blown away ; Great colors ( if you calibrate ), great contrast, VERY sharp, amazing quality ;...

PITA to calibrate. The settings on the monitor suck so you have to rely on the graphics card settings. I used multiple test images to calibrate and I messed around with other settings. At first the colors suck but once I changed the digital color...
