Best value-priced monitor

Reviewers agree that the 23-inch Asus ML239H is an excellent value for an IPS monitor, though some shopping might be needed to get the best price. There are a few cut corners, however. For example, you'll need to use the monitor's HDMI input...

Color accuracy, dark pictures display cleanly, bright, vivid imagery with good contrast

No DVI input except through included HDMI-to-DVI adapter, no height adjustment, some backlight bleed, not for gamers

Although the ASUS ML239H is missing a few convenient features in the area of adjustability, the screen quality makes up for that greatly. The IPS technology used in this monitor provides bright, vivid imagery that will help all you to fully realize the...

This monitor has the fastest response times of all the IPS monitors we reviewed

When it comes to adjustability, the ASUS ML239H only tilts

Although the screen specs are superb, the lack of user-friendly options like wall mounting makes it fall short of the best.

Asus ML239H

Asus has joined the bargain-basement IPS monitor bandwagon with the 23-inch ML239H - at the time of writing, the cheapest IPS monitor to come through our test lab doors.

Backlight bleed

low price

bought two about 6 months ago, just got around to opening them up and using on a new eyefinity setup, but the back light bleed is really bad, it bleeds in the bottom left and a little on the bottom right of both. wish i would have check when i first...

Awesome Monitor, the pros outweigh the cons by far

with the cons it's still not worth a -1 egg. for the price you can't beat it. it's a great monitor, the colors are crisp, it's a nice size. I use it for gaming mostly and it looks awesome. It's a 5ms GTG but you don't notice it at all. Look up on how...

Low price, it's 23", it's an IPS, it's thin and very lightweight, viewing angles are great

there is a purple hue viewing at certain angles. viewing normally there's no purple ; A tiny bit of light bleed at the bottom, you pretty much will never notice it unless you're staring at the windows loading screen all day ; The touch buttons are a...

Not bad

All in all it is a good LED for the money. I think even though the touch buttons don't work most of the time, it is still worth it.

Its an LED for one. Colors are good. Movies look good and games are good. Not the best LED on the market but for the price, you cant beat it. Some people have reported that there is a purple hue, but I don't have that issue

The touch buttons really don't work. I have to touch them at least 10 times just to get them to work. ASUS needs to get this fixed if they want to keep selling this. If you are going to buy this then plan on having problems with the touch buttons. Once...

Excellent Color!

Highly Recommended, plan on buying this monitor for my fiancee's PC we will be building after Christmas.

Amazing color, I just bought another 23" TN panel for my aunt and when I got it up and running for her I really understood how beautiful this IPS Asus actually is. I don't think I fully realized how amazing the colors looked until I got my hands on a...

Menu buttons take patience, they are not the most responsive buttons but compared to the amount of times you actually need to adjust something, this is pretty minor. They had to cut corners somewhere to bring a great IPS display under $200 ; No DVI...

Works great as 2nd monitor on my old iMac

I use this monitor as a second display on my "early 2006" iMac. I used a mini DVI to HDMI adapter on the iMac and an HDMI cable to connect the monitor to the display. -- Note that the factory default for the monitor is the VGA port, so I had to switch...

Unlike with TN monitors, no noticeable color shift across screen. Very low power consumption thanks to LED backlight

Note that the monitor stand only allows for tilt but not height adjustment. -- Does not seem to automatically switch between inputs

Hoping replacement works better

The original color on the screen is kinda off but I purchased the calibrator from pantone to fix any discrepancies.

Awesome color at any viewing angle! inexpensive and lightweight

some back light bleed as others have said but barely noticeable for me ; I have noticed some horizontal distortions when viewing a mostly grey screen such as in Photoshop with no files open. (I did try adjusting the focus settings as well as trying it...

Perfect Business Monitor

You shouldnt buy this for a gaming panel. This is for graphics or business use. There isnt much ghosting but if your just some kid who games all day, there are other monitors that would better suit your needs

I bought this monitor for my mother. She is a professional business woman who's eye site is starting to fade. Before she was on a 15" laptop screen, now she just plugs this monitor into her VGA port (no hdmi or dvi on her laptop) and uses a usb...

Expected slightly better viewing angles, but for the price its still a HUGE improvement over a TN panel. Also a dvi input would be nice, but they supply you with a hdmi to dvi cable (also a vga to vga cable) so its not really needed
