Asus PA248Q

Last year's Asus PA246Q monitor earned our Editors' Choice award for its affordable price, robust feature set, and excellent IPS color reproduction, among other things. Its successor, the Asus PA248Q , is also an affordable 24-inch IPS monitor, and...

Great color quality. Flexible stand. Wide viewing angles. Lots of ports

No auto rotate feature. Grayscale performance could be better

The Asus PA248Q is a reasonably priced 24-inch IPS monitor offering solid performance and a generous feature set. Its grayscale performance is good but not great, though.

Editor's Choice!

Asus PA248Q

The Asus PA248Q doesn't quite match last year's PA246Q in performance, but that's to be expected. The PA246Q sported a more expensive panel capable of displaying more colors.

The Asus PA248Q offers very good performance, useful OSD features, ample ergonomic options, and an impressive assortment of connections. Its sub-$350 price is icing on an already tasty cake.

The monitor can't duplicate the high color performance of its predecessor.

The Asus PA248Q is a low-priced IPS monitor that doesn't skimp on performance or features.

ASUS PA248Q ProArt Monitor Review

Feature packed for professionals and enthusiasts.

Great colors; Multiple connectivity options; Four USB 3.0 ports; Easy swivel and adjustments; In-depth color tweaking; Easy menu navigation

Color reproduction could be better; aggressive hues in other preset modes

It’s easy to recommend the ASUS PA248Q for its great color reproduction, connectivity options, and incredible viewing angles (at 178°). It may need some extra bit of tweaking to get the truest possible color reproduction, but for the price though, and...

great monitor

look fantastic, great colors ; large display ; neutral appearance (classic asus boxy black) ; pretty good tilt, swivel, pivot movement ; variety of input connections ; usb 3.0 connection ; 3.5mm headphone jack is a nice plus

make sure you need a monitor of this quality before spending the money, just browsing the internet and maybe even some moderate gaming may not justify it ; UI for the screen settings could be a bit simpler and intuitive

Overall Great Monitor

Deciding over this and the Dell UltraSharp U2412M. Glad I made the decision I did.

No dead pixels. Great color reproduction, sharp images. The matte finish on the screen isn't as bad as some of the other reviews would suggest. I don't notice it at all (my vision is pretty good, btw). Haven't seen any issues with flickering or...

Another bad one...

I just now saw the Asus "Rapid Replacement" thing - I think I may see if the third time is a charm. If it wasn't for these issues, this is a truly exceptional monitor from an image standpoint - the picture is BEAUTIFUL on it, stuff really "pops"...

Beautiful vibrant picture, quick response times, great features, lots of picture adjustment options, thin bezel, great monitor mount

This is my second one. First one I got would flicker every so often or go completely black on me for a second before coming back. Returned it (and thus missed out on the rebate that was the major incentive to buy it) for a replacement. Had the...

Another flickering foulup

Perhaps I haven't been looking hard enough for the appropriate driver (although it occurs to me that I shouldn't have to look so hard), but I have been unable to use the vertical feature; content remains sideways.

If it weren't for the cons, there would be many pros: color, brightness, sharpness, features, size, physical controls; on-screen menus; reasonable price, etc

The screen goes black for two or three seconds, and repeates the cycle every ten seconds, or thirty seconds, or half-hour -- you never know what to expect, except having your blood pressure spike once it becomes unusable

Dead Pixels and Support is ignoring me

I received this monitor with two stuck pixels (blue). Called support to create an RMA. I got an email from them with an RMA number but I was supoed to get a second email informing me about getting a new monitor before sending the other one in for RMA...

It turned on

2 Stuck Pixels (Blue) ; Support forgot about me
