Asus VG278H

The 17.5-pound cabinet is supported by a round base and arm assembly that lets you make nearly any adjustment you'll need, whether tilt, swivel, or height. A pair of three-watt speakers provides better-than-average volume, but they are rear-firing and...

Good color, 3D performance. Fast pixel response. Ergonomic stand

Narrow viewing angles. Pricey. No USB ports

The Asus VG278H has everything you need to enjoy realistic 3D gaming right out of the box. It may be a bit pricey and lack USB ports, but this 27-inch gaming monitor offers a lot of bang for your buck in terms of performance and features.

Asus VG278H

When it debuted a few years ago, the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit required four components to work properly: 3D glasses, an Nvidia graphics card, a compatible display, and a separate, USB-connected 3D emitter.

The Asus VG278H delivers great 3D performance, a superfast refresh rate, and useful ergonomic options.

The monitor is expensive, given what it offers. Also, accessing the connections can be maddening, there is significant backlight bleeding, and the OSD navigation is clunky and obtrusive.

The Asus VG278H has great 3D performance and a fast refresh rate, but is just a bit too expensive for what it offers.

Asus VG278H

This monitor does a single thing quite well, but is not flexible enough to satisfy other uses.

For an MSRP of $599, we feel the VG278H is a touch overpriced. While it does its job as a 3D gaming monitor admirably, it does little else with much efficacy. If you're familiar with Asus' computer monitors already, you'll enjoy the design and menu...

If only real life was in 3D, like on this PC monitor

Amazing 3D ; Bundled glasses ; Height-adjustable

Image quality and chassis disappoint

Factoring in the premium for the new LightBoost tech and LED backlighting, the £120 glasses thrown in, and the 27 inches of panel, the Asus VG278H certainly isn't a rip-off. For 3D lovers, this is a must-have, and for sceptics this could be a...

ASUS VG278H 27” 3D Gaming Monitor Review

While the whole 3D movie “revolution” seems to be waning (again) there is one area where 3D has the potential to provide a better, more immersive

Like it or not, 3D is here to stay until Hollywood says otherwise and in the HDTV realm a least, that means years of image quality

Awesome monitor

I bought this monitor just for its 3D capabilities, it came with a built in 3d emitter with Nvidia 3D vision 2 active glasses which is awesome. I use my macbook plugged with a mini display to dvi converter and it works just fine. don't expect to use...

Fair cost for the functionalities and performance of the monitor ; built in 3D emitter is awesome ; built in speaker ; high contrast ; very bright ; 3 input, VGA, DVI and HDMI 1.4 ; height adjustable ; no issues using a PS3 to play 3D games on this...

speaker are weak but also can't expect much from built in speakers on a monitor, at least there's a 3.5mm audio out ; control interface could be better

Great Display

After using this display for a month or so as my main display, well all the Control Menu buttons stopped working. Unplugging it and disconnecting it did not fix it, and I can not get into the Menu to Reset anything. When I turn it on after it being off...

Beautiful Display and is my 2nd for a Dual Screen setup. They are not stretched but left and right. Clean clear picture and on my SLI 770's the two these look so beautiful together ; Everything about these displays is just wonderful. 26.9 Inches 3D...

Poor support for a device failure that has come up. Thinking my First one was bad is why I got this one, but the Leap Motion I have blocks the 3D Vision Thinking the 1st display was broken found that out and ouch

It's okay

Decent monitor for 2D and 3D movies and games + 120Hz is absolutely new experience to your eye. The picture is much better and more natural than on the other 300$ monitors from Asus

The only thing that I cannot understand is that once you played the game in 3D it goes in 3D mode and there is no way to switch it back to normal mode. You have to go to NVCP and run "Test stereoscopic 3D". This is just pathetic. The stand is really...
