Good for work, not for play

I bought this monitor to mainly do software development on... and it is fine for reading and writing text, and web browsing. But it is absolutely not recommended for watching film, TV, or playing video games... which is unfortunate because it is such a...

Beautiful looking display. Thin bezel, minimalistic, good adjustable stand, easy to assemble, nice variety of input ports

Black levels are terrible. Even with the brightness turned all the way down, the blacks are much worse than my 7 year old Syncmaster 226CW, which barely turns on anymore. This is especially noticeable if you look at it from an angle, and around the...

how is it possible that my old benq gw2750 looks sooo much better than my new asus monitor??? on the benq the colors are brighter, the blacks are blacker, and it also beats it with a 4ms response time. they are both va panels, i though for sure the...

Super thin bezel

grey ; washed out ; the speakers are nothing to brag about, which was to be expected

Great Monitor

I was really impressed with it despite it not having the higher res that I wanted. The color definition and just general quality of it get me over that resolution.

I got this monitor even though I really wanted something with a little bit higher resolution, but it really disappoint and I'm really pleased with it ; I love the thin bezel and how clean and crisp everything looks and especially the colors - they are...

I do have a little bit of bleed on my particular monitor, though it's just a very small light spot near the bottom left the screen. It's not enough for me to drop an egg of off because the only time you can really see it is when the screen is very...

1080P at it's best

With a $30 rebate the price on this panel was a steal and worth the better panel than TN. Though you can save a bit more with TN panel the difference between it and an AMVA+_shows.

AMVA+ with ASUS VividPixel brings 1080p to higher standard then average TN panel. Viewing angle is better. Came without any back light bleed and no white or black dot. All pixels were perfect

5ms game play actually not bad at all and worse than TN panel because the colors are more vivid IMO

Thin bezel!!

I really like the slim bezel; I liked it so much that I ordered 2 more to replace my old 23.6" x3 set-up, which now looks a LOT cleaner with the thin bezels :) Maybe in time I'll upload a video. Also I've seen a few reviews that were complaining about...

Thin bezel, Built-in Speakers, Height & Pivot Adjustable, Comes with all types of cables, 3 Year Warranty

A DVI connection would have been nice, but ASUS has you covered with amount of cables/adapters that it comes with, so not a huge con

Asus 27" monitor.

I bought this for $204 after a promo code, watching the pricing and hopefully getting the $30 rebate so this was a steal of a deal for the price.

Slim border to fit under my old computer hutch where other monitors would fail to go. Packaged nice to withstand the travel. No damage when I opened the box. Plugged it in and used the DVI to HDMI cable and everything worked. No dead pixels. All...

For the non-tech person, it will be hard to figure out how to use the monitor since it only includes a quick startup guide but doesn't go into detail on what functions do what for the screen. I have an AMD 7870 card and had to go to the Catalyst...

Needs better Quality Control

Overall I am very happy with the monitors. I just wish I didn't have to replace 2 out of the 3 that I have purchased to get non-defective products.

The monitor has a great picture and the thin bezel looks great in the multi-monitor setup I am using. The stand is awesome

I got two of these for work a couple weeks ago and one of them arrived with a stuck pixel. After getting a replacment, everything was great. I decided to order one for my home as well. It arrived yesterday and it had a dead sub-pixel (blue). I am in...

nice large monitor

Am not a gamer, cannot speak to performance under demanding conditions. Am pleased in all respects with appearance and performance of this monitor.

Small border around screen enables larger display in tight quarters than other similar sized monitors. Mounting stand allows for varying the height of the monitor. Check of pixels did not reveal any bad ones. Power on light is softer and more subdued...

Not really. Speakers are equivalent to those on a poor laptop, but I didn't get the monitor for the speakers and will not be using them. Adjustment controls are a bit dicey to use, but I have never had a monitor where they were easy to use, so this...

Dead on arrival

Received on Friday, Saturday excited to open to check out my new thin bezel asus 27 inch monitor everything looks good no major damage to the box pull the monitor out of its wrapping set up the stand plug in all the connections press the power button...

Looks good thin bezel Came with a lot of cables

DOA so of course I can't really comment on performance but the only con I had before was limited connections no DVI or 2 HDMI just one HDMI and one display the VGA is a joke

Its a good monitor, I bought ASUS for quality construction and durability.

The construction is typical ASUS high quality ; It has a good set of cables included ; It's easy to put the base on. It has a captive screw with a wire bail on it so no tools needed ; Gotta love the stand. I pivoted it 90 degrees to connect the cables...

Instructions... well you get a piece of paper, their quick start guide. It has 32 different languages so its a bit cluttered. The info is minimal but enough I guess, I almost managed to figure out what the buttons do ; I don't think I have found the...
