Still works

I've always like ASUS products. They seem to last much longer than most other brands.

Bought this in May 2009. I use it on my tech bench. Still going strong after all these years

fun

I'm trying to jimmy-rig a portable screen for my xbox. This is a little wider than the xbox, but the same height, so I think it will work out perfect.

Small and lightweight, nice picture

viewing angle could be better

Bang for the buck = A+

Needed a no-fuss SMALL display for working with some normally "headless" servers. This thing is PERFECT! Small, light, portable, and very easy to look at. Great that such a small display even includes VESA mounting compatibility, making it perfect for...

Small size, sharpness, PRICE! Bought this with recent PROMO code and free shipping. No wonder it's now sold out. What a deal! I should have bought two. My Ubuntu 8.04 system with onboard nVidia display adapter had no trouble with the pixel dimensions

Make sure your display adapter and driver support screen dimensions 1360 or 1366 x 768. Not all of them do, particularly older ones. Mine seems to like 1360 x 768 and it looks better with the monitor set to the same thing via the menu. I think it...

It IS

It is a cheap 15 inch wide screen LCD. Works Great. Using this for a LANBOX Project monitor because it is small, light, and uses less power. If not for the sale I probaly would have bought a different model but who can pass up $20 off and free shipping?

It is cheap, Bright, Decent response time, Light, no dead/frozen pixels and easy to use. Great bang for your buck if you dont mind a smaller monitor

It is a little small so for those gamers out there that are thinking of picking this up to play WoW or something...save up a bit more and buy bigger and you wont be sorry

Nice price with discounts for LCD

Purchased 2 to replace wife's CRT and Vizio TV. Vizio consumes 125W so this will save me big time since I use computer more than I watch TV. WOW won't be the same on the smaller screen.

Small, light, functional, clean crisp display, lowest price LCD with discounts ; 15w energy consumption much better than CRT and my Vizio 32" TV I have been using

I can only set resolution up to 1360x768. 1366x768 is selectable from the monitors menu ; just stretches 1360x768. Not major

ASUS VW161D Black 15.6" 8ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 2000:1

Analog RGB = VGA. same thing.

8ms is ok for gaming, if you have not used a 2ms monitor before you will never notice any ghosting, even having used 2ms displays the average, even the above average, user will not notice

seems a little outdated. Low price for a decent quality monitor, but small screen size, no HDMI, and only tilt adjustments (for a monitor this size height should be included imho)

@ other review

To the other reviewer that said the site only lists a D-Sub connection but shows VGA ; D-Sub is VGA. There is nothing wrong with the information provided

Sole-Right

For the price it's NOT BAD! Keep in mind your PC may not support it's native resolution resulting in a poor experience. Newer PC's or upgraded video cards should have no issues. PC's test were Dell Vostro's with Intel GMA950 (GMA950 on Mac works...

PRICE, PRICE, PRICE! So you can't go wrong with it at the regular price and today they dropped it another 20 so it's GOOD. It has a bright screen and the 4 we used before were all good (no dead bits, all worked). There are some caveats with it though,...

No speakers, yea they would be garbage but with speakers and an external tuner you'd have a sub $100 HDTV (sale price). Aspect ratio is 16:9, Not 16:10. Most integrated graphics cards produced/designed before 2006 will not support it and run it 768...

input is VGA, not RGB

The picture shows a VGA connection, but the specs say analog RGB compatibility and D-Sub. Something is not correct here.

price, size may be perfect for some applications
