BenQ FP231W 23-inch wide-screen LCD monitor

The BenQ FP231W's performance and image quality are good enough for basic productivity work and watching videos, but it's hard to overlook its shortcomings when multimedia displays such as the Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW offer more features and an extra...

Composite and S-Video inputs; integrated USB hub; picture-in-picture function.

A bit expensive for what you get; no pivot function; no task-oriented image-quality presets.

The BenQ FP231W is great for viewing horizontal spreadsheets or multiple documents at once.

FP231W

Though the $1799 BenQ FP231W 's sedate charcoal-and-matte-silver cabinet looks very businesslike, it's clearly meant for more than just spreadsheets. Besides having analog and digital inputs, it includes S-Video and composite inputs. The unit's large...

BenQ FP231W

The BenQ FP231W is a good panel if you're primarily looking for a big Windows desktop and also want to watch some DVDs and HDTV content in a near-field viewing environment.

Good grayscale linearity. Easy assembly. Good ergonomics. Generally solid video playback.

Inconsistent dark-tone response, especially at the upper corners. Contrast ratio uniformity suffers as a result.

BenQ FP231W 23-Inch LCD Flat Panel

BenQ's latest LCD offers a 23-inch screen, 1,920-by-1,080 native pixel resolution, a svelte shape, and a nice price. But its image quality doesn't quite match up to its feature list. The FP231W's resolution is good enough for high-definition content,...

BenQ FP231W LCD Computer Monitor Reviewed

Is it just me, or has DVD made you look at all LCD screens differently? Whether it's a PDA, laptop computer or high-tech refrigerator, if its LCD isn't widescreen, it just doesn't look right anymore. DVD and HDTV have created......

BenQ FP231W

If you want the biggest damn monitor out there, sporting a full 16.7 million colour palette, this is an awesomely good option, featuring a good dollop of inputs and a four-port USB hub.
