BenQ GW2760HS review

Its colour accuracy isn't great, but it's still one of the best 27in VA panels we've seen

The BenQ GW2760HS is an excellent VA panel. It doesn't quite compete with more accurate IPS displays, but at this price it seems churlish to complain. If you particularly suffer from monitor-related eye strain, the GW2760HS is for you.

BenQ GW2760HS

BenQ promises its flicker-free 27-inch monitor will save you from eye-strain.

Flicker-free backlight reduces eye strain ; Excellent contrast and brightness ; Good colour production

So-so uniformity across screen ; Low-resolution at large size

There's plenty to tweak, too, with five levels of gamma correction and three levels of overdrive (response time) joining the usual suspects. There are three colour temperature presets, Reddish, Normal and Blueish, and a user mode.

Flicker-free Monitor : BenQ Flickerfree GW2760HS

Spending time on a computer can be productive and entertaining but it can also produce some other less appealing side effects which this next monitor offers to alleviate.

Back in the early days of movie making, and I am referring to those first black & white offerings, the audience had to put up with a great deal of on-screen flicker as the images were being constantly updated. This flickering phenomenon was the reason...

BenQ GW2760HS 27-inch monitor review: outstanding quality for the price

The best-value 27-inch monitor on the market? We think the BenQ GW2760HS might be the one to buy

Large 217-inch display, flicker-free technology, non-glossy AG matte coating, fantastic colour gamut range, unobtrusive bezel, amazingly low price

Resolution not as high as Apple Cinema Display, colour accuracy isn’t as good as a high-end monitor

This is a superb monitor to choose to go with a Mac mini or as an external display for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. At around £200 it offers premium quality and high performance at a price normally associated with much lower quality display.

solid monitor with a good trade off on seek time vs colors. games and movies look awesome

rich vibrant colors, easy to navigate menus. there was some "ghosting" at first while scrolling through web pages or any black text on white background.. turned off ama and it dissapeared. this setting doesnt seem to have any impact on my games'...

AMA, took awhile to dial in the color and sharpness. found some useful website on a search engine by searching for lcd test images.. very helpful

Awesome Monitor!

Even though I wasn't impressed with the ghosting (the 4ms response time listed here is a bit misleading) I decided to keep the monitor. I got used to the blurring in banished and civ and hardly notice it in 3d games. I found that maxing out the...

This monitor looks awesome. The colors are very very good. Unbelievably good for the price of this monitor and the blacks are some of the deepest I've seen on LCD displays. The contrast on this monitor is absolutely astounding and there are TONS of...

There is ghosting. Even on the highest AMA setting (which has major disadvantages) the blurring from the ghosting is noticeable in some instances. Mostly in strategy type games like banished or civ V. In 3d games like shadow of mordor or far cry 3 it...
