BenQ GW2760HS review

Budget 27-inch monitor heaven

Great image reproduction ; Robust and stylish ; Flicker free ; VESA compatible ; Good for movies

No height adjustment ; No swivel stand ; Lousy audio ; Average text reproduction

BenQ GW2760HS review

Its colour accuracy isn't great, but it's still one of the best 27in VA panels we've seen

The BenQ GW2760HS is an excellent VA panel. It doesn't quite compete with more accurate IPS displays, but at this price it seems churlish to complain. If you particularly suffer from monitor-related eye strain, the GW2760HS is for you.

BenQ GW2760HS

BenQ promises its flicker-free 27-inch monitor will save you from eye-strain.

Flicker-free backlight reduces eye strain ; Excellent contrast and brightness ; Good colour production

So-so uniformity across screen ; Low-resolution at large size

There's plenty to tweak, too, with five levels of gamma correction and three levels of overdrive (response time) joining the usual suspects. There are three colour temperature presets, Reddish, Normal and Blueish, and a user mode.

Flicker-free Monitor : BenQ Flickerfree GW2760HS

Spending time on a computer can be productive and entertaining but it can also produce some other less appealing side effects which this next monitor offers to alleviate.

Back in the early days of movie making, and I am referring to those first black & white offerings, the audience had to put up with a great deal of on-screen flicker as the images were being constantly updated. This flickering phenomenon was the reason...

BenQ GW2760HS 27-inch monitor review: outstanding quality for the price

The best-value 27-inch monitor on the market? We think the BenQ GW2760HS might be the one to buy

Large 217-inch display, flicker-free technology, non-glossy AG matte coating, fantastic colour gamut range, unobtrusive bezel, amazingly low price

Resolution not as high as Apple Cinema Display, colour accuracy isn’t as good as a high-end monitor

This is a superb monitor to choose to go with a Mac mini or as an external display for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. At around £200 it offers premium quality and high performance at a price normally associated with much lower quality display.

Best Deal

I have several newer monitors, but this is the only one I will buy again. Color is perfect, picture and motion perfect. Solid stand that works well. Good three year warranty. No cons. Best deal for the money.

Outstanding Displays at a Value Point

I do not use these for gaming. I am a working IT professional and work from home frequently. Having a dual headed monster that is easy on my eyes is critical. Yes, these are larger than I imagined, but, I have no complaints. My previous 23" panels (I...

These displays are HUGE. Came a 2 x 23" set up and I am amazed at the size difference. For me, this is a great thing. I usually sit about 27" from my displays and on my 23" set up I had to learn forward (sorry, but, I am in my mid-40's) just to see...

The stands are, in my opinion, a little high. Nowhere even enough to take an egg off however

The best value for a 27" 1080p display

If you're an OCD buyer like me who stumbled upon this gem, don't hesitate or dwell over getting this over the temping 2k Korean displays, which is like rolling the dice without a proper warranty.

I used TFT Reviews to help guide me with my purchase, so make your way there if you want highly-technical rundowns on why this monitor is the best picture quality and gaming-capable monitor for its class ; Zero dead pixels for me, which was really my...

My stand absolutely refuses to tilt, but luckily it's stuck in the perfect position for my setup. Worst case scenario if you did get a stand that was stuck like mine, you could take a hammer to it or opt for a VESA mount. The stand is solid, though, it...

No More Reading Glasses

This monitor is a dream come true. I don't have to wear my reading glasses any longer, to read my news feed, or to play WOW. This is my second BenQ monitor. My husband took over my first one. I love BenQ monitors
