BenQ GW2760HS review

Budget 27-inch monitor heaven

Great image reproduction ; Robust and stylish ; Flicker free ; VESA compatible ; Good for movies

No height adjustment ; No swivel stand ; Lousy audio ; Average text reproduction

BenQ GW2760HS review

Its colour accuracy isn't great, but it's still one of the best 27in VA panels we've seen

The BenQ GW2760HS is an excellent VA panel. It doesn't quite compete with more accurate IPS displays, but at this price it seems churlish to complain. If you particularly suffer from monitor-related eye strain, the GW2760HS is for you.

BenQ promises its flicker-free 27-inch monitor will save you from eye-strain.

Flicker-free backlight reduces eye strain ; Excellent contrast and brightness ; Good colour production

So-so uniformity across screen ; Low-resolution at large size

There's plenty to tweak, too, with five levels of gamma correction and three levels of overdrive (response time) joining the usual suspects. There are three colour temperature presets, Reddish, Normal and Blueish, and a user mode.

Flicker-free Monitor : BenQ Flickerfree GW2760HS

Spending time on a computer can be productive and entertaining but it can also produce some other less appealing side effects which this next monitor offers to alleviate.

Back in the early days of movie making, and I am referring to those first black & white offerings, the audience had to put up with a great deal of on-screen flicker as the images were being constantly updated. This flickering phenomenon was the reason...

BenQ GW2760HS 27-inch monitor review: outstanding quality for the price

The best-value 27-inch monitor on the market? We think the BenQ GW2760HS might be the one to buy

Large 217-inch display, flicker-free technology, non-glossy AG matte coating, fantastic colour gamut range, unobtrusive bezel, amazingly low price

Resolution not as high as Apple Cinema Display, colour accuracy isn’t as good as a high-end monitor

This is a superb monitor to choose to go with a Mac mini or as an external display for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. At around £200 it offers premium quality and high performance at a price normally associated with much lower quality display.

Great Product

Haven't tested the speakers yet, but its a monitor, not a speaker, I'm really not expecting much, will update soon.

Perfect colors right out of the box, no dead pixels(always a plus), detected and auto-adjusted settings as soon as I powered them on and plugged them in

Menu scroll speed. (Yes, I know) It was all I could think of

Nice size

Text is okay, but not great. I had to go into scaling on CCC to get the monitor to fill the whole screen (coming from a 1920X1200 monitor). Also, and maybe the most disturbing... colors. I can't tell yet if it's me or the monitor. When I run color...

Nice size and if you're coming from an older 24" LCD you'll find the footprint on this monitor is not much wider or longer. Thin bezel FTW

It would not automatically detect HDMI... I was stumped for awhile until I went into the controls and manually selected HDMI as the input

Good Monitor

I bought four of these at the "sale price" of $209.99 each. 3 days after they arrived, the sale ends, and they go further on sale at $199.99 with -$20 off each?!? Thanks NewEgg........$120 I could have saved.

Bright, clear quality image, tested on both games and some HD movies. Very happy with the image quality. Bought 4 of these to do a 1 over 3 setup in my home office. No dead pixels, they all worked out of the box

Power button and controls on the back of the right edge. If you are putting these side by side, be aware that it will hinder any access to the controls. Not a big deal for me since I leave mine on all the time, just put them to sleep

Great choice for the price.

Upgraded from a 23.5" Samsung and this thing bests it in every category. Not a big gamer so can't speak to it's ability in that regard but looks amazing so far.

Value, looks great, adjustability

Refresh rate

Excellent Monitor

I would definatly buy this monitor again. I was going to buy asus 24" 144 hz refresh rate monitor. But I don't need something crazy like that. I don't play fps games so this was more than enough. And cheaper too(on sale). Plus I'm on a budget.

I went from a 16" used monitor to this. I built a new computer and didn't have ash to get it then. It is a great monitor. Stand is high quality. Easy to snap in place. Doesn't creak or move. It's solid. The screen itself has a very good picture. I...

None. This $389 monitor I got at $219? It's quality too. No cons
