BenQ GW2760HS review

Budget 27-inch monitor heaven

Great image reproduction ; Robust and stylish ; Flicker free ; VESA compatible ; Good for movies

No height adjustment ; No swivel stand ; Lousy audio ; Average text reproduction

BenQ GW2760HS review

Its colour accuracy isn't great, but it's still one of the best 27in VA panels we've seen

The BenQ GW2760HS is an excellent VA panel. It doesn't quite compete with more accurate IPS displays, but at this price it seems churlish to complain. If you particularly suffer from monitor-related eye strain, the GW2760HS is for you.

BenQ promises its flicker-free 27-inch monitor will save you from eye-strain.

Flicker-free backlight reduces eye strain ; Excellent contrast and brightness ; Good colour production

So-so uniformity across screen ; Low-resolution at large size

There's plenty to tweak, too, with five levels of gamma correction and three levels of overdrive (response time) joining the usual suspects. There are three colour temperature presets, Reddish, Normal and Blueish, and a user mode.

Flicker-free Monitor : BenQ Flickerfree GW2760HS

Spending time on a computer can be productive and entertaining but it can also produce some other less appealing side effects which this next monitor offers to alleviate.

Back in the early days of movie making, and I am referring to those first black & white offerings, the audience had to put up with a great deal of on-screen flicker as the images were being constantly updated. This flickering phenomenon was the reason...

BenQ GW2760HS 27-inch monitor review: outstanding quality for the price

The best-value 27-inch monitor on the market? We think the BenQ GW2760HS might be the one to buy

Large 217-inch display, flicker-free technology, non-glossy AG matte coating, fantastic colour gamut range, unobtrusive bezel, amazingly low price

Resolution not as high as Apple Cinema Display, colour accuracy isn’t as good as a high-end monitor

This is a superb monitor to choose to go with a Mac mini or as an external display for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. At around £200 it offers premium quality and high performance at a price normally associated with much lower quality display.

was looking for a 24" but this monitor came in for about the same price, bought before it went out of stock

benq,WIDE,VESA mounts, VGA, DVI and HDMI with audio jack. not too glossy just perfect, tilts up/down without stand breaking. stand has a screw to lock monitor in place, VESA mounts for giving this beast some angle. get compliments on the size/ price...

when i watch movies it has noticable white around the edges, even in movie mode preset

BenQ GL2760H

Great color for the price, but you will get what you pay for. I got this because I was stepping down from a 32" TV for my monitor and wanted a 27" monitor. Nice 1080p monitor with hdmi but keep in mind that this does not have speakers so a digital...

Keep in mind that this does not have a display port plug. If you are planning on daisy chaining for a duel or triple monitor setup you will need either a graphics card/cpu with several hdmi/dvi outs. If your graphics card only has 1 of each such as my...

I normally go for cheap, but...

Very large, bright and vesa compatible

3 days after I plugged it in a single pixel went dead on the left middle of the screen. It was irritating but not enough to pay for shipping, also ghosting is annoying while playing minecraft-esque games
