BenQ is looking to cash in on the lucrative gaming market with its latest 22in monitor, the RL2240H. It's aimed specifically at real time strategy players, who need rapid response times and precise detail to stay on top of their opponents at all times....

An interesting concept, but few people will see the benefit in this gaming-specific monitor

The RL2240H also supports plenty of configuration options, with a likable onscreen menu system that's reminiscent of OS X's Finder. Bizarrely, you can even scale the display settings to match those of a 17in or 19in 4:3 monitor.

If you’re on a tight budget, BenQ’s RL2240H would appear to offer good value. Its TN technology can’t match the quality of IPS, however, and you’ll find better colour accuracy and viewing angles if you instead plump for the £9 more expensive AOC.
