BenQ XL2420Z review

Excellent colour accuracy and a high refresh rate make this a great screen for gamers - at a price

The monitor also has support for Nvidia's 3D Vision technology, which gives you active shutter 3D in games. This is an extra which many people will appreciate, although you will need Nvidia’s own 3D Vision hardware and a compatible Nvidia graphics card...

Feature rich -- looks like a WIN for the Money!

Some think this monitor is a bit "pricey." Any old desktop HD monitor can be had for between $150 and $250 -- good brand names -- check the Egg. But for its price-tag, I think you get what you pay for. BenQ tech-support has been superb. The previous...

There are all sorts of complications. Suppose you have your two workstations independently connected to your AVR/HDTV? Suppose they're also connected through the KVM to a single desktop keyboard, mouse and monitor? And -- you want to go "digital." A...

It's so feature-rich, that it takes a lot of work and time to go through the color calibration and other menus to set up. But it's worth it -- every penny and every minute of your time! The display is VERY Bright-- BRITE -- Burrr-RIGHT! But you can...

DOA

I broke my #1 rule of monitor buying...never buy online. Locally only for easy return and to minimize the risk that a DOA might be the result of ultra cold weather or carrier handling.

Nice specs, decent price ; Headset hanger in back. Cool mouse type interface for the OSD ; Tilt, swivel, height adjustment

DOA...would not even power on. I am rating it three eggs, based upon the fact I probably would have loved it but a DOA could be a QC issue at BenQ

GEOREOUS MONITOR

Great swivel system, you can allow it to be viewed at any angle! Really... Any angle lol - amazing for 144hz refresh ; Beautiful color ; I personally use it for gaming and every game I play on Max!! settings looks amazing ; very heavy and study......

Viewing angles.. But it is a TN panel... This is to be expected... I don't mind since the swivel and height adjust is so amazing! I use to own an LG ips panel display and it was amazing!! But I would never switch back considering it is 1ms response and...

BenQ XL2420Z

LOVE this TN panel!! I actually bought the XL2420TE, this is basically the same exact panel just updated version ; 144hz refresh rate ; 1ms response time ; LightBoost ; Motion Blur Tech ; Nvidia 3-D Vision 2 ; Amazing colors once you calibrate...

Amazing Gameplay, But horrible colours

While great monitor all and all, for the Price there are definitely better choices, but this is definitely one of the better ones. Get it on sale, and that's only if you can't get the newer G model.

This monitor is a fantastic pleasure to use. It has great features like Motion Blur reduction, that takes some time to get used to (It heavily darkens the screen) And a great black equalizer feature. Wise of Pros, it is a great monitor

Well the big one is Price, I paid $340 for it with free shipping, but that was still a lot., especially considering at the time the Asus 144Hz was $240 (But out of stock). My biggest issue with this monitor, however, is the menu. When first accessed,...

Can i give it 10 eggs?

My display port cable actually got stuck in the monitor and the outer shell came off inside now knowing that i don't know if the display port part of the monitor is broken so i'll stick to dvi still getting the same results.

The monitor is great for long gaming sessions with no eye strain it comes with a Dvi cord that surprisingly supports 144hz so i don't see a need for a display port cord. NO ghosting is amazing *claps* playing any fps is amazing on this monitor the...

only one the monitor seems to not want to come out of hibernation mode when it goes to sleep and i thought it was my display port cable but i was wrong

Awesome!!!!

144mhz ; Appearance ; Slim Bezel ; When I first set it up the colors were horrible. But that is expected of TN panels. I did have a hard time trying to get rid of the motion blur for awhile. It was so bad that it made me dizzy. But after some searching...

None now that I was able to get it to display the way I like. Might pick up another one :)

Great panel for gaming

Really good panel for twitch gaming. It does what you want it to without many problems. Looks like a really good TN panel compared to asus products. Buy it, doesn't get much better than this

Firmware version 1 in October, 10, 2014 ; Mine came with scratches on the metal base and some other problems with it specifically the HDMI port for my ps3 didn't go full screen 24" and had some artifacts with my pc's graphics card. DVI connection for...

Great step up from my 60 hz 1680x1050 monitor

I will tell you this right now, I was really indecisive when trying to pick out a new monitor because a ton of IPS fan boys kept saying that the colors on TN panels are horrific. That is not in any sense the case. I went to the store to compare this...

Colors aren't as bad as people say once you get them calibrated to your liking ; 144 hz really enhances your computer experience, especially in fps games ; FANTASTIC stand
