BenQ V2420H LED-lit LCD Monitor

This model has just been launched in India, and is touted as BenQ's flashy little flagship, LED backlit Hanna Montana. It's sleek, snazzy and fresh off the assembly line, so let's check out what exactly is on offer.

It costs Rs. 18,000, which is again more than the V2200. This model does not have any great features. It's a straight up no frills monitor, but then the contrast is really weak. The only thing, the only lonesome good fact are the looks. The looks are...

BenQ EW2420 Monitor Review

The EW2420 from BenQ is designed for use as a multi-purpose display. While it has the standard DVI and HDMI port you would expect on a current monitor, it also has an additional HDMI port for another video source like a video game system or Blu-ray...

BenQ V2420H

There are 6 picture modes with settings optimized for specific applications, including Standard, Movie, Game, Photo, sRGB, and Eco modes. The settings for Standard deliver the best all-around picture, while the Movie mode is too dark for everyday use....

Slim, stylish cabinet. Energy efficient. Good color and dark grayscale performance

Wobbly, tilt-only stand. Lackluster feature set. Mediocre viewing angle performance

The BenQ V2420H is a power-friendly 24-inch monitor that generally delivers good performance and is housed in a thin, attractive cabinet. A few extra bells and whistles would be welcome, however.

BenQ EW2420

We see a lot of LED-backlit monitors come through CNET reviews, but what we don't see are a lot of LED-backlit monitors with AMVA panels. That's kind of a new thing and the BenQ EW2420 is the first monitor we've seen to feature the technology. Now...

The BenQ EW2420 packs in tons of connection options for a surprisingly low price.

The BenQ EW2420 has a plain design, has trouble with dark color reproduction, and coats movies with too much green.

With its large number of features and low price, the BenQ EW2420 is one of the best monitor bargains available.

BenQ V2420H

At $300, it's difficult to justify buying the 24-inch V2420H. Although it performs well, overall, you can get a superior monitor, such as the Samsung PX2370 , for only about $10 more. While the V2420H has some advantages over the PX370--it's one inch...

Overall, the BenQ V2420H performs well and has minimal backlight clouding.

In our DisplayMate tests, the BenQ V2420H shows noticeable color scaling issues. Featurewise, the V2420H is bare bones with too high of a price when compared with its better performing competition.

The BenQ V2420H is an adequately performing monitor, but it isn't worth its high price when compared with the similarly priced, but superior performing competition.

BenQ EW2420

11 multimedia connectors, 24-inches of screen space and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels are just some of the things the EW2420 packs

The BenQ is a solid all-around 24-inch LCD screen that offers decent visuals and plenty of extra features for your money.

BENQ EW2420

BenQ has been a leader in panel technology for monitors and it shows on the BenQ EW2420. The VA panel technology gives you better color reproduction than the common TN panels. The high contrast ratios will help the colors really pop, and the variety of...

The BenQ EW2420 uses VA panel technology instead of TN

Out of all the monitors we reviewed, this one has the highest average power consumption

Usually VA panels have fairly slow response times, but BenQ has managed to make this monitor's response time much faster than typical VA panels.

BenQ V2420H LED monitor

Super-thin and exceedingly stylish, low energy consumption

Dynamic contrast is imperfect, poor static black levels, slight green colour bias in default settings

BenQ's super-thin V2420H LED monitor has lower power consumption and higher contrast levels than a regular CCFL-backlit LCD monitor. Combined with its sleek and stylish design, it is a well-rounded product. Picture quality is merely good rather than...

BenQ EW2420 review

BenQ's EW2420 is one of a few monitors we've seen to have a VA TFT panel. Unlike standard TN (Twisted nematic) LCD panels, a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel has liquid crystals that naturally align themselves vertically, making them easier to manipulate....

The EW2420 has a VA TFT panel with a glossy finish, and stunning still image quality, but moving images suffer from ghosting.

BenQ V2420H review

At only 15mm thick the BenQ V2420H is much slimmer than a conventional, CCFL-backlit LCD monitor. LED lighting also means the BenQ V2420H delivers better contrast than a regular monitor, with a claimed 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The screen's...
