BenQ XL2420T

The BenQ XL2420T is a feature-rich 24-inch monitor designed for gamers, but it doesn't come cheap.

Tons of I/O ports. Excellent color and motion performance. Inky blacks. Highly adjustable stand

Expensive. Narrow viewing angles. Stingy warranty

The XL2420T is a 120Hz display and is on Nvidia's list of certified 3D Vision monitors that support LightBoost technology. Unfortunately, this model does not come with the 3D Vision Kit, but the XL2420TX does and we'll be testing its 3D prowess in a...

BenQ XL2420T

A gaming monitor designed by and for gamers

Highly customizable and flexible.; Ideal pixel response and refresh rates for gaming

Only serves one purpose.; Color accuracy is sub-par for this price range

The XL2420T may not be a powerhouse of color accuracy, but it makes up for this flaw by being extremely versatile, flexible, and programmable. The included S. Switch allows users to map functions and pre-loaded display settings to up to three buttons,...

BenQ XL2420T Gaming Monitor Review

Designed by gamers, for gamers.

Designed with ease of use in mind; ergonomics, gaming focused features are top notch; touch-sensitive OSD buttons are fantastic; S-switch is a great addition; customizable; great display

Slight trailing problems; viewing angles are average

I did put the FPS presets to good use, and in all honesty, I am not sure if it helped my game any bit. First of all, the colors are overly saturated, making an aged game like Counter Strike even more terrible to look at. It’s really hard to believe...

BenQ XL2420T Review

There's an increasing trend that we've been noticing over the past year or so - 3D is coming to everything from phones to televisions to even 3D monitors. BenQ, as a brand has made itself stand strong in the monitor market, not only in India, but also...

The BenQ XL2420T is priced at 21,990 (MOP). As the industry is shifting towards 3D gaming, this monitor is pretty much well covered in all aspects to provide you with a good gaming experience. With the range of connectivity options, it's future proofed...

BenQ XL2420T review

Possibly the best 3D monitor we've seen

Best TN panel yet ; Best stereoscopic 3D ; Superb OSD controls

Mediocre vertical viewing angles ; Nvidia 3D Vision pack isn't included

Is the BenQ XL2420T the first TN panel that really delivers? We think so. It produces super stereoscopic 3D image quality, too.

BenQ XL2420T review

Ideal monitor for gamers, but its image quality isn't as good as some of the latest budget IPS panels

There's much more to the XL2420T, such as its adjustable stand, the wide choice of inputs, the USB hub and the carrying handle built into its stand, but our overall impression was that while its 120Hz support is great for games, the image is too...

BenQ XL2420T

Despite the extra frills, the XL2420T isn't a massive jump, performance wise, above the XL2410T. Still, if seriously smooth gaming performance is your only concern, take a look.

120Hz support ; BenQ is finally front mounting buttons ; Context sensitive OSD ; Flexible stand options ; Energy frugal ; Great warranty

Obvious light bleed ; Discolouration issues with inversion tests ; Touch buttons aren't as responsive as they should be

Despite the extra frills, the XL2420T isn't a massive jump, performance wise, above the XL2410T. Just like its predecessor, it suffers from light bleed, as TN panels are wont to do due to lower manufacturing tolerances, and the colour shifting on the...

BenQ XL2420TE (144 Hz)

We have already reviewed the 120 Hz BenQ XL2420T model, so what's new here? Well, BenQ has decided to release a new version of the monitor, without changing the model name in Europe. It is a confusing strategy, but it offers some interesting updates in...

144/120Hz ; Low input lag ; Flicker-free panel ; Good ergonomic adjustment options

Out-of-box settings ; Viewing angles ; Black level

BenQ’s 144 Hz XL2420TE is the successor to the 120 Hz XL2420T, and even still carries the same model number in Europe. It looks exactly like the old 120 Hz version with an asynchronous base design and a matte black frame with touch buttons and red...
