BenQ XL2720T

The BenQ XL2720T is a full featured 27-inch gaming monitor that delivers blazing pixel response, sharp colors, and inky blacks. It's a bit pricey but it offers every video input you'll need and is packed with features.

Good color accuracy. Excellent motion handling. Dark blacks. Loaded with features

Pricey. Some color shifting

BenQ knows what gamers crave. Earlier this year its 24-inch BenQ XL2420TX monitor snagged an Editors' Choice award for its great performance and robust feature set. BenQ's latest effort, the BenQ XL2720T, offers the same feature set but this time...

BenQ XL2720T Gaming Monitor Reviewed

On the very first monitor review I did for AnandTech, I skipped over the input lag tests. I didn't have a CRT I could use for a reference, and as someone that isn't a hard-core gamer themselves, I wasn't certain how much overlooking them would really...

Looking back at the data, the BenQ XL2720T actually scores pretty well. The pre-calibration numbers are decent, and post calibration they come out far better, though not as good as some recent IPS panels. The design is nice and ergonomic, and the OSD...

BenQ XL2720T review

A 120Hz, 27-inch BenQ TN panel. How bad can it be?

Great on-screen displays ; Nice stand ; 120Hz refresh rate

Poor colour reproduction ; Black levels not very good ; Washed-out default state ; Price

Good for fast paced games

I also use a Dell U2312HM, so I'm spoiled on color accuracy and viewing angle. That being said, I bought this monitor for fast paced FPS', and I'm not disappointed. Motion is much more fluid on this compared to my Dell. I knew the cons were present...

120hz capable ; VESA mountable ; decent stand with headphone holder on back ; programmable preset buttons, for different games/programs make it easy to switch without navigating the menu every time you need to switch ; no power brick

cost ; color(washed out) ; light bleed at top and bottom screen edges ; black levels not the greatest ; viewing angle(best at straight on, huge difference at angles)

overall decent

I didnt realize it didnt come with internal speakers luckily i had bought some. other than that its a decent monitor, though if I knew what I did before I bought it I probably would have gone a different way for my monitor choice

Nice visuals for games, decent settings sliders

No internal speakers, terrible for movies

Great Monitor

Great gaming monitor, also works very well with everything else. The lack of ghosting and the clarity of this monitor is fantastic. the price is great also

the suppliced cable is a little shorter than I would have liked. But problem solved with order of longer cable

Excellent High Quality Monitor

Excellent design, quality built, no dead or stuck pixels. Packaged very well. Plug and play. Did not have to make any adjustments to the display settings out of the box. Comes with 3 presets that are already set by pro gamers and seem to work fine for me

I think the 3 preset switch is a little above and beyond what anyone needs and personally would like to have seen a cheaper price and not have this piece. But maybe some people love it and have different settings they use for different games. I have...
