BenQ XL2720Z

The BenQ XL2720Z is designed for gamers and loaded with features. It's a bit more expensive than a typical 27-inch monitor, but if extreme gaming performance is what you're after, it's money well spent.

Great port selection. Excellent gaming performance. Fast pixel response. 144Hz refresh rate

Pricey. Finicky touch buttons. Narrow viewing angles

Once again, BenQ has a winner on its hands with the new XL2720Z ($529) gaming monitor. Like its predecessor, the BenQ XL2720T, the XL2720Z lets you take your game to new levels, with a fast pixel response and dedicated first-person shooter (FPS) modes....

BenQ XL2720Z Monitor Review: A 27-Inch, 144 Hz Gaming Display

Many displays are marketed as gaming monitors. But only a tiny handful operate at refresh rates greater than 60 Hz. The BenQ XL2720Z sails along at 144 Hz and offers many gaming-specific features. Today we run it through our benchmark suite.

BenQ XL2720Z review

This gaming monitor bests its rivals on the notion of motion

1ms response rate ; Crystal clear image ; Adequate video inputs

Finicky touch buttons ; No built-in speakers ; Super pricey

BenQ XL2720Z Gaming Monitor

When it comes to PC gaming, gamers want the best of the best - from the best components, to the best keyboards, top-notch mice and everything in between, and BenQ is promising to deliver the best monitor possible with its latest XL2720Z. It promises to...

BenQ might just have the ultimate gaming monitor on offer, as its fast response times, huge 27-inch size and motion blur reduction features give it the edge against your conventional displays. Add in that it's fully adjustable to almost any angle, and...

Quality monitor, great for gaming.

Quality, the thing is sturdy and looks amazing. I didn't have any problems with it other than personal preference things

Coming from an IPS panel 1080p just isn't quite enough pixels for a 27" monitor if you like sharp images. I returned this one and got the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

2720Z brightness tweaking

Great screen but needs tweaking. 27"'s tend to have more overdrive artifacts than the 24" versions.

To Chet ; You can maintain the brightness quite well with the blur reduction. First, try making a custom utility in ToastyX's CRU (custom resolution utility), with the parameters :1920x1080 100hz horizontal total 2080, Vertical total 1500, front porch...

Requires a vertical total tweak of 1500 to accelerate the scanout in blur reduction mode to make the "crosstalk zone" smaller; the same size as lightboost monitors that are run in lightboost mode. Lightboost uses accelerated scanout by default in...

Doesn't get much better!

The blur reduction would be great if it would allow the screen to maintain the brightness. I will work with a profile to see if I can use the blur reduction and enhance the appearance when enabled.

Great color right out of the box. 144hz refresh rate. Easy functionality. Large screen size. Simple to configure and match the color to my 2720T

Don't like the blur reduction since it darkens the screen. It dulls everything as well. It will take some tweaking in the profiles

Nice monitor

*I got this monitor when I did, rather than wait for a G-sync monitor, because my old monitor died, so if you're still just considering whether or not to wait, I would say wait. I will probably end up using this monitor as a secondary to watch video on...

27" is deceptively large on paper - upgraded from 21" almost didn't have enough room on my desk ; The colors are great, I ordered this monitor having only read about it from knowledgeable sources. I took a gamble since I'd not seen the monitor in...

Price - It's expensive. You expect it to be so, but it's still a hefty price tag ; No G-sync - not a dealbreaker for me right now, but likely would've been under different circumstances ; As someone else mentioned in another review, the blur reduction...

This monitor is awesome!!!

I highly recommend this monitor. I play CS: Go Competition and the 1ms response helps tremendously.

I love this monitor! The images look amazing; they are very smooth. I was playing with a 23" monitor-1080p and 60hz. However, this 27" monitor-144hz is awesome. It makes it easier to kill the opponent

None. It is a great monitor
