BenQ XL2720Z

The BenQ XL2720Z is designed for gamers and loaded with features. It's a bit more expensive than a typical 27-inch monitor, but if extreme gaming performance is what you're after, it's money well spent.

Great port selection. Excellent gaming performance. Fast pixel response. 144Hz refresh rate

Pricey. Finicky touch buttons. Narrow viewing angles

Once again, BenQ has a winner on its hands with the new XL2720Z ($529) gaming monitor. Like its predecessor, the BenQ XL2720T, the XL2720Z lets you take your game to new levels, with a fast pixel response and dedicated first-person shooter (FPS) modes....

BenQ XL2720Z Monitor Review: A 27-Inch, 144 Hz Gaming Display

Many displays are marketed as gaming monitors. But only a tiny handful operate at refresh rates greater than 60 Hz. The BenQ XL2720Z sails along at 144 Hz and offers many gaming-specific features. Today we run it through our benchmark suite.

This gaming monitor bests its rivals on the notion of motion

1ms response rate ; Crystal clear image ; Adequate video inputs

Finicky touch buttons ; No built-in speakers ; Super pricey

dead pixel and can't detect displayport

This is my first Benq monitor, I won't buy another in the future.

none

Dead pixel right out of box ; Once I turn off the monitor and try to turn it back on, it can'd detect the displayport cable. I have to reset the pc with the power button to get a picture

Works like a champ

Just awesome. I used it to play and also to when i work from home. I can plug my Macbook on it and the quality it's just amazing. Really happy with this item

Vision angle. If you change your position while you play this is not your monitor, because the vision angle is the only bad thing about this monitor

BenQ XL2720Z

Bright image, 144hz, 1ms response time. Decent viewing angles

Expensive, no g-sync/free-sync, 1080p is starting to get obsolete

Just performs everyday perfectly!

If you don't own why not? TN Panel has great color, motion blur that works, along with 1ms response time. IPS panels cannot keep up with 1ms response times, they are more for the video and graphics editing not gaming. 6ms probably about the best...

Tuned the colors how I like them just once. I have not had to touch a thing since ; Brilliant vibrant colors while playing Far Cry 4 and all of the other games I have played ; Keeps pace with motion perfectly ; Read the features and specifications to...

Great monitor!

This is one of the few monitors on the market that combine great connectivity, speed, and no use of PWM. I guess it is a bit steep on the price, however I am hoping that this monitor will last a good 5 years or more. I would recommend either perusing...

Great image quality ; Great connectivity - HMDI x2, DP, DVI, VGA ; Great monitor stand ; Thoroughly impressed with the speed ; OSD menu is programmable/changeable, OSD remote is handy ; Flicker-free - no Pulse Width Modulation

1st time "On" was not intuitive. Your finger has to be over the light/motion sensor to be able to turn monitor on, and there is no mention of this in the manual ; Out of the box it is extremely bright ; Input selection - say HDMI to DVI - is clumsy out...
