Nice but not trivial to use

The two monitors I calibrated were different. One is a high gamut IPS display, the other is an LED backlit TN panel. So I expected different quality on the image even after calibration. But I expected the color tones and overall image warmth to be...

Full featured software. Free upgrade to latest software suite. Step-by-step process

You have to have some tech knowledge to use this thing, including knowing how to use the menus on your monitor to manually tweak some settings. A worse con however is that two monitors calibrated back-to-back came out with different results. The same...

Awesomeness

On a closing note, this thing is a vital piece of equipment and software to any arsenal. and will pay you back over time as your shots will come out perfectly every time. or if you are simply watching tv on your computer.... then anything you watch...

Thing is great

No cons As for the common complaint (not just here, but on other sites) that it is a one time adjustment, that is simply not the case, over time, CRT, LCD, LED, etc screens can fade out of calibrations, their Kelvin ratings can drop, and this can vary,...

quick, easy, effective

I bought an LG 30 inch monitor and love it. But the color came way off out of the box. Every was WAY to green and dull otherwise. I don't do any color critical work but it just drove me crazy to have one of the best monitors made (and having payed...

Does what it says ; Was quick and easy ; Exact same sensor as the more expensive versions, just software differences

I just payed $90 for 2 minutes of work ; Hard to justify unless you do color critical work, or are crazy like me ; I managed to get close results using my graphics card for free

Nice Unit

I would buy this unit again and would recommend it to anyone who desired to make their monitor work well, or two dissimilar monitors work better together.

Easy to Install ; Does an awesome job calbarting monitors ; Works Well in calibrating two different montior styles/types

Requires some knowledge of graphics cards ; For the inexperienced it may be overwhelming

Spyder3 Disappointment

Here is the exact email info returned to me on 1/28/08. New release of 3.0.1 dated 2/12 from their web page won't even execute. See their email following: Our development team will be releasing a new Elite version later this week. They do realize they...

None so far. Had been using Spyder2 and upgraded to Spyder3Elite. The new product still does not work and Colorvision has stated they know about the problem and to wait till the next software update. That was over a month ago

Product does not work even on a configuration "tested" by Colorvision (Vista 64, Cintiq and Viewsonic monitors running off a Matrox APV dual head video card)

Outstanding

Definitly would buy again. Very happy with the results. It also adjust the monitors when the room's lighting changes.

Easy to set up and the user directions are a breeze to follow. Saw big differences after using it in my monitors

Downloaded the update and it corrupted the msvcrt.dll. Though I submitted a trouble report with Colorvision and received the fix right away. Safe bet is to copy this file to a CD before installing the software upgrade
