A decent colorimeter

A budget colorimeter for amateurs or people who do not require professional-level color calibration. If you decide to use PrintFix Plus, be sure to download the latest version from the website to get the updated collection of printer profiles.

Despite the category it is in, this package comes with software for both Mac and Windows. The Spyder2 unit is decent and using this package is much better than trying to calibrate by eye. It also includes PrintFix Plus which is a collection of pretty...

(Supposedly) not as accurate as more expensive colorimeters. The Spyder2 unit is the same in the Suite, Pro, and Express versions, only the bundled software differs. This specific bundle offers more options than Express, but lacks the multi-monitor...

I had no idea what I was missing with my Photoshop work until I calibrated my Samsung 244T 24" widescreen with the Pro Spyder2. It runs everything automagically, and when it's done, your colors are very accurate. Highly recommended.

Set it and forget it

Quality Product

Color calibration is excellent. I like the customizable reminders that tell you to recalibrate. Super easy to use

The calibration takes a while. I have never used any of the competitive products as a comparison so this may be normal. Cost

Easy to use, quick install, very straightforward. The spyder2 Pro comes with the print fix software which I have not yet tried. The main function, monitor calibration, I found to be very effective and much better than using Adobe Gamma

The spyder recommends a temperature of 6500, which is too "cool" in my opinion. 5000, or in my case 5400, is better for a pre-press setup
