Dell S30MX review: Dell S30MX

When purchasing a monitor, most buyers expect a few key things from their investment: good performance, enough connection options to meet their needs, and a reasonable price.

The Dell S2330MX has a thin, aesthetically pleasing design, well-placed connections, and good overall performance. The fact that this comes at such a low price is icing on the cake.

The monitor has flimsy build quality, a very unstable foot stand, and its OSD navigation isn't as smooth as what we've come to expect from Dell.

The Dell S2330MX is a well-designed general purpose monitor with a pleasing aesthetic at a great price.

Dell S2330MX Ultra-Slim Monitor

Once upon a time, CRT monitors ruled the land. They were big, they were bulky, and you could easily throw your back out if you ignored your chiropractor's advice to bend at the knees and keep your chin up, when picking up heavy objects. Back in the...

Slim and sexy design that's thinner than some mobile devices ; Bright LED backlight ; 82 percent color gamut ; Easily navigable OSD ; Price

Touch-sensitive can be, well, touchy ; No height or pivolt options ; No DisplayPort or HDMI ; Colors don't pop ; Somewhat strict viewing angle ; Mild streaking

Performance Summary: In terms of picture quality and performance, we weren't blown away by the S2330MX, but it wasn't too pokey either. We found the S2330MX to perform slightly above average for a TN display, with the LED backlight providing plenty of...

Dell S2330MX LCD monitor

A cheap, thin, but slightly wobbly 23in LCD monitor from Dell

Slim design

It's a bit flimsy

Dell's S2330MX monitor is thin and lightweight, which means it looks excellent coupled with a small desktop tower or a laptop. This thin design does mean it's a bit flimsy, but if you've got it set up right the S2330MX is a perfectly capable mid-sized...

Dell S2330MX 23" LED Monitor Review

For many consumers the overall dimension and footprint of their monitor just doesn't seem to matter but for those of us who are constrained by a

Very power efficient ; Reasonably priced ; Extremely thin design & small footprint ; Good if quirky OSD ; Numerous color profiles included

Rather poor panel uniformity ; Default color profile needs a ton of adjustment ; Touch sensitive buttons which are a pain to use ; Limited input options ; Less than impressive viewing angles ; Short Warranty

Dell certainly doesn’t have a limited selection of monitors and in order to cater to nearly every possible category, there will be a few

"Some of it works."

Not a happy customer. Customer service is non-existent. It only partially works.

VGA hookup was easy. Nice wide display, text is clear.

DVI connection does not work out of the box. Tried to get technical service but you need a service tag. The monitor didn't come with one. You can't do anything without a service tag.

Very good monitor.

Purchased this locally for the reason of facilitating a fast return in the event it was defective or damaged during shipping. I was surprised. No defects, no damage. I would recommend this product to my friends, the price is right, and prices do...

Beautiful sharp and crisp colors,no dead pixels, very good menu system for adjustments and customizing. The base on the one I just purchased, measures 7" in diameter. My desk is heavy, and sits on a carpeted floor. There is no moving this desk, even...

No cons at this time

Great Monitor Overall

As I've mentioned, this is a great monitor overall. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family. However I did deduct one egg point because of the backlight issue.

This monitor is crisp, clear, and very bright. It reproduces colors very well and overall is an extremely good deal. Many people have commented / complained about the 'flimsy' base, but if you have it on a desk or sturdy table it does it's job well....

My monitor has a very bright band of blue light on the bottom of the screen from the backlight bleeding through. It is about 1/2 an inch thick. It is not noticeable when that area is producing a color other than black, but when it is a dark scene, or...

Dell S2330MX

While nothing compared to the beasts I use at work (also Dells), they also cost 3 or 4 times as much. I've contemplated picking up a second one for my other home system to replace an old Acer LCD.

Ultra light (seriously, this thing weighs than its volume of paper) ; Very good screen brightness, colors, and overall contrast ; Very reasonable price

The stand isn't nearly as solid as I would generally prefer for a monitor of this size. It definitely needs a thicker connection to the frame itself and the base needs to be broader. It can wobble something fierce from side to side (it's a 16:9 screen...

Great Monitor for Price

Great monitor if you are just upgrading from a 20" or 19" for a decent price.

This monitor is really thin and the plugs face out on the back making it very easy to plug in your cords. The picture quality is excellent, no pixellation what so ever. Has a feature to dim the display like a laptop screen if it is too bright at night

The stand is not as secure as I would like, but overall nothing else to complain about
