Dell U2713HM

The Dell UltraSharp U2713HM isn't the absolute best monitor performer. And at $799, it's not the cheapest monitor, either. Yet thanks to its price-to-price and features-to-performance ratio, it's the best overall monitor currently available.

The Dell UltraSharp U2713HM delivers excellent performance across the board, includes a huge array of customization options, and has great ergonomic support. USB 3.0 is a nice bonus.

There's a slight green tint problem when watching movies, and $800 is a lot to pay for a monitor, no matter what's included.

The Dell UltraSharp U2713HM is an excellent monitor that will satisfy both the performance snob and the features diva alike.

Dell U2713HM - Unbeatable performance out of the box

When you look at the 27” panels on the market today, they virtually all use a panel from LG. Samsung has their own PLS panels, but otherwise almost everyone with a 2560x1440 panel is using one from LG, with either LED or CCFL backlighting. When the...

With the U2713HM monitor, Dell hasn’t broken any new ground. Instead, they have taken the same panel that many vendors are using and presented it in a well thought out and constructed package that is a pleasure to use. From the packaging to the stand...

"Glad I chose this over the Apple monitor"

I just received my Dell U2713HM 27-inch 2560x1440 monitor, and it is a beaut...

Beautiful display.

The base is hollow.

"Good Monitor, Hope it lasts as long as my Previous Dell"

There's been much talk about light bleed issues, with people popping up images of their screens taken in a dark room. Note: All panels will exhibit a little light bleed around the edges when viewed under very dark conditions, it's rare indeed to find...

Bright crisp display with excellent color saturation.

Does suffer from IPS Glare which is more noticeable in dark rooms, but effect was minimal.

"Great specs, poorly manufactured."

The first one, after about 6 months of use, the panel inside the monitor starts to slide down, and there was a clear gap at the top and some pixels on the bottom became hidden behind the monitor's frame. Dell folks replaced it with a "new" refurbished...

This is a great monitor ONLY WHEN it's working as it should. Great color, sharp pixels, doesn't have the grainy coating that older 27" DELL monitor had, lots of input options, great value etc, BUT..

From my experience, it's really poorly manufactured! I had 2 replacements within 9 months, and third one is now on the way.

Photos, games and Blu ray

This looks so good on my desk they did a good job with their design. I really enjoy watching family photos.

This monitor is a fun monitor all around watching movies playing games and anything that I or my kids do is so colorful. :)

No - had to write that to continue ; A bit expensive but all these 27" IPS are about the same. This one came with extra features for the same price when I compared it to other monitors just like this

Immersive colors

I'm sure DELL made this to be a workstation but the also made this a great gaming monitor as so many other previews have suggested. It's totally true. Missed the sales but still worth it. For work or play it's top echelon of displays.

College student next year and looked at monitors that will help me with my graphic designs ; Other friends suggested this monitor who are in the same interests as me. Photo editing in Adobe is impressive. The colors seem to stand out and very accurate...

The two USB ports on the side which are easy to access use 2.0 USB and the bottom two USB ports are 3.0 USB. They should have put the 3.0 on the side of the monitor and the 2.0 underneath

Decent screen for yesterday

Using this with a Intel HD 4000 PC and the native resolution of 2560x1440 can be used with a single-link DVI or HDMI by creating a custom resolution with a 40Hz refresh rate. Neither Dell nor Intel document this support. The single-link DVI connection...

Highest number of vertical pixels available for a semi-reasonable price ; Factory color calibration--color accuracy ; Quiet ; Height adjustment and rotation capability ; All surfaces matte--very low reflections ; Lower resolutions scale well ; USB 3.0 Hub

No DP cable included ; HDMI 1.2 input does NOT support native resolution at 60Hz ; Large pixels are quite visible ; Screen door look - diagonal lines ; Control buttons ; Over 3/4" of bezel on all sides ; Fairly low contrast ; Default setting is too...

This display is sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

This is a great alternative to the pricey 30" displays which cost upwarfs of $1050.00. I picked this up for $585.00 shipped when it came up on daily deal. Best money that I ever spent.

Beautiful colors, gaming is outstanding, this ia a true plug and play display. My rigg automatically changed over to the native 2560 x 1440 res. I do not have any backlight bleeding issues that others mention. Height adjustment is awesome and slides up...

I wish that I bought three more of these. No moolah! And no complaints either
