Ultrasharp 1704FPV

With its characteristic half-moon silver stand, Dell's UltraSharp 1704FPV closely resembles its predecessor, the UltraSharp 1703FP--and it lives up to the high standards set by that earlier model. Though it didn't win top honors on any particular test,...

Good images, especially at this price

Screen adjustment buttons aren't clear

The screen adjustment buttons could be better marked, and we'd like to see screen pivot software included. PivotPro software currently costs $39, so if you plan to use portrait mode often, you may want to add that price to this monitor's overall ticket

The clear choice for Dell computer buyers

Hard-to-beat price ; bright, well-focused images ; attractive, ergonomically correct design

Cheap working monitor for a spare computer. Arrived nicely packaged and without any cosmetic damage. Even included a power cord and VGA cable. I needed a monitor with DVI and this fit the bill

Like others, I also received a wimpy stand that doesn't hold the monitor up. For what I needed, it wasn't an issue, but that's pretty lame

Great display for a reasonable price.

We use these as well as the standard analog panels in our offices. Although I don't know why we have Ultrasharps since none of our machines are capable of DVI output. Well anyway, the picture looks great even with the analog cable. Viewing angles are...
