Dell UltraSharp 2007FP

Excellent image quality; lots of adjustments options; composite and S-Video ports; USB hub; picture-in-picture window.

No dedicated brightness or contrast buttons; onscreen menu is difficult to navigate; base is slightly wobbly.

The attractive Dell UltraSharp 2007FP combines superior image quality, a full range of adjustment options, and a fair price. The result is a 20-inch LCD that's hard to beat.

Still a Great Monitor

I also like to buy older monitors as I can then afford higher quality. This monitor retailed for around $850 CAD in 2006--I bought it refurbished for $90 CAD in 2015.

This monitor is still bright and seemingly fully functional. I personally preffer the 4:3 aspect ratio which is one of the reasons I decided on this monitor. I set one monitor in portrait and a matching monitor in landscape.

I received a standard VGA cable with each monitor. I would have preffered a DVI cable. This monitor supports both formats however there are advantages to using DVI.

Worked good

Worked good. Some scratches on the plastic but not a big deal.

All monitors worked (I bought 10). Looked good.

Monitors came with either a VGA or DVI cable (NOT both). Not a big deal to me since I have tons of both but it may be to others.

The picture is not accurate, this is a 1600x1200 4:3 aspect ratio monitor. This is the same as an old television, and is fantastic for the old software that i have to maintain at the office that was not designed for modern widescreen monitors. These...

Great monitors!

I purchased two of these monitors for side-by-side CAD/CAM work and am blown away by the unit's abilities to work together without color deviation or image degradation. It ain't easy to make products that perform so consistently. Predictably great...

The stands are a bit cheesy.

Best monitor in the market

Crisp sharp images from this monitor nice and bright, and does not hurt your eyes. Nice 1600X1200 Pixel Resolution (Using Digital DVI-D). Gaming is incredible with this picture, Played need for speed Carbon on it and it blew me out of the water.

Does not support HDCP, however, it does suppoed 476i 576p and 720p resolutions. You figure it out. haha

Known Issue With Monitor

It is incredible that an over $400.00 monitor does have the issue with tape as mentioned. Evidently, the hardware was not tested well during its development since, as also indicated on the Dell forum, the issue may develop even after a couple of weeks...

Elegant design, and a reasonably good image quality.

As also indicated on the Dell forum, after a short period of operating time tapes that are evidently present between the LCD panel and the backlight migrate in to the corners' viewing areas. The color of the tapes is yellow.

I purchased this monitor as part of a Dell Precision system (never really paid attention to the price). I've been using this monitor in a dual monitor configuration with a 17" flat screen. I thought this monitor was great, but didn't realize just how...

Price, price, price. It's a great monitor, but I'm still not completely convinced that the price is comparable to the overall quality/performance.
