not for home users

After 24 hours of trying to achieve satisfactory results of display quality - I gave up. This is great monitor but far beyond are my skills and my needs. I'm big fan of digital photo but I'm not professional. Reading all the webpages about how to calibrate display for my needs and what I have to have to do it - there is no chance I can or I ever will. It's really pity, I love U2410 technology, construction and quality but I couldn't achieve main purpose: great looking display. Digital pictures look excellent but all the rest (which is 80% of my activity: web, office, movies) is unacceptable. Home user should definetly try to find something much simple, just plug&play and enjoy.

Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Display

At a time when you can buy a 24-inch LCD monitor for less than $300, why would you ever consider spending twice that much for Dell's 24-inch UltraSharp U2410? Because the U2410 is a precision instrument; those $300 monitors are really just HDTVs sans...

IPS panel; excellent color accuracy; ergonomic stand; integrated USB hub and media card reader

Expensive; slow response time (at least when compared to TN panels)

Although the U2410 has a relatively slow response time and is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, we didn’t encounter any problems with motion blur or ghosting while watching movies or playing games. If you’re extremely sensitive to these phenomena, you...

Dell UltraSharp U2410

About $600 for the Dell UltraSharp U2410 gets you a 24-inch, H-IPS monitor with great performance in games and movies, a host of connection options and ergonomic features, and a robust OSD. Unfortunately, its RGB presets are marred by dithering when...

The Dell UltraSharp U2410 has a plethora of connection options and ergonomic features.

The Dell UltraSharp U2410 has a slightly narrow viewing angle when compared with other IPS and VA monitors. It also has a slight pink tint and its RGB presets produce dithering when viewing dark gray colors.

The Dell UltraSharp U2410 is a feature-rich monitor that performs great while watching movies and playing games.

"1 Word - Anti Glare Coating = Terrible"

I just received this monitor last week March 2012...I use my computer for graphic/web work and my image reproduction has to look flawless on screen. I bought this monitor because I use a Dell 2408 at work and it great. Unfortunately I cannot say the...

Good Adjustment Functions - Height Adjustment and Pivot

ANTI GLARE COATING!

A good monitor but with a really bad design flaw.

There are quite a few good monitors in this price/size/performance range. Seek out another choice unless your organization forces Dell products, as mine does.

Color, brightness and contrast are very good to exceptional. I am a CAD user and the monitor works great for that and standard office applications (no gaming here). The tilt and height adjustments are greatly improved from my 3 year old screen

The Power Switch is located on the lower right corner of the frame. It is not a recessed button and there is NOTHING to inhibit accidental power cycles. You will find that you accidentally shut off the monitor regularly

Dell UltraSharp U2410

I would recommend this monitor to any photographer who shoots RAW and needs a precice monitor at a resonable price.

Ultra sharp picture, very fast setup, excellent I/O features for the price

Wish the monitor would automatically rotate the display settings on my video card when the monitor is physically rotated

Love this monitor for my iMac

I've researched getting a monitor for a two monitor setup for my iMac for months. I read every review, went to Best Buy ten times to look at monitors and LED/LCD tv's. What will connect to my iMac mini-DVI port? Forget LED. The IPS, which is what Apple...

Plug n' play, non-glare screen, great color

No cons I can think of

"Could be a great monitor with better quality control."

Purchased this monitor about 2 months ago - have had 2 replacements shipped making a total of 3 that I have seen. All were revision A02 manufactured Oct 2010 in Mexico. The first had the much talked about green left pink / right tint issue. I tried to...

Beautiful display if you get a good one, lots of connections and features.

Problems with quality control.
