Dell U3014 LCD Review

In the last year, 27” 1440p displays went from being really high end in the monitor food chain to becoming close to commodity items that you buy off EBay for cheap from random vendors. It seems that there is a bit of a shift in the high-end display...

Dell really put a lot into the U3014, with almost every single high-end feature that you might want to have being present. AdobeRGB support, DisplayPort MST for the first time in something I’ve reviewed, uniformity compensation, and calibration...

Dell UltraSharp U3014

The Dell UltraSharp U3014 is a top-shelf 30-inch monitor that delivers sharp, accurate colors, quality grayscale, and wide IPS viewing angles. It doesn?t come cheap, but you sure do get your money?s worth with this behemoth.

Outstanding performance. Solid feature set. High res IPS panel

Expensive. No pivot adjustment

Once again the Dell monitor team has a winner on its hands. Their latest addition to the UltraSharp line of desktop monitors, the Dell UltraSharp U3014 , picks up where the Dell UltraSharp U3011 left off and brings a few new features to the table,...

Dell UltraSharp U3014 review - high-quality, large display

The Dell UltraSharp U3014 supports DisplayPort 1.2, including multistreaming, so you can daisy-chain two or more monitors and display independent images on each one (provided your video card also supports DisplayPort 1.2).

Making the jump from a 27-inch display to a 30-inch display is a substantial investment: Dell's U3014 costs a lot more than either Dell's 27-inch U2713H or Apple's 27-inch Thunderbolt displays. And it's even more expensive than Dell's other 30-inch...

Dell UltraSharp U3014 30” Monitor Review

Over the past year Dell has released numerous upgrades to their UltraSharp line and for the most part these new models have been excellent refreshes.

When taken at face value, there’s really nothing special about the UltraSharp U3014 since 30”, 2560x1600 monitors have been around for what

Rash of defective monitors, finally got a good one. Nice, but not quite as refined as the old 3007Wfp

- This series has delivered some really great monitors, however this particular model delivers a meh experience. - Added two eggs, because I finally got a good monitor. Thank you NewEgg!

- The image is very clear and bright - Perseverance paid off and I have a monitor that now works and has a full stack of functioning pixels.

- Noticeable refresh latency in video games (even in Gaming mode) - Monitor stand is not very exciting, the previous models appeared to be more solidly constructed. - First unit had a really obnoxious group of stuck red pixels - Second unit had many...

Quality not as good as it used to be, No Windows XP Drivers

I have always been a loyal Dell customer, some of their products have been bulletproof but it seems the quality has dropped. One of my major hangups with Dell is backwards software support. Many of my customers still use (and plan on extended used of)...

Large display, IPS with LED backlight, professional color, USB 3.0 port. 16:10 aspect rare considering everyone is going to 16:9 a TV format. .25 Pitch IPS screen. Excellent color after minor adjustments.

No Windows XP drivers, sometimes blanks and will not restore when used with KVM switch requiring power cycle to get the screen back. Minor, but something to consider if you switch between computers (like me)

These monitors look pretty good, not as nice as the old 3007Wfp

- This series has delivered some really great monitors, however like all products with the Dell badge, they can be very hit or miss.

- The image is very clear

- Noticeable refresh latency in video games (even in Gaming mode) - Bad batch of monitors in distribution (my 4th bad monitor gets sent back today) - First unit had a really obnoxious group of stuck red pixels - Second unit had many 10 stuck pixels -...
