Coloredge CE240W

At $1650, Eizo's 24-inch ColorEdge CE240W is not for everyone--and that's not a bad thing. Its target audience of graphics professionals will appreciate its handy color-correction software. Touch-sensitive controls and a tiny blue LED power indicator...

Touch-sensitive controls Professional calibration software

Dim at default settings

The ColorEdge CE240W doesn't come with a lot of added features. Two USB ports on the side let you connect peripherals, but they're also useful for USB-connected calibration hardware, which is sold separately. You'll need such a unit--for example, the...

EIZO ColorEdge CE240W 24-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Review and Prices

At first blush, the EIZO ColorEdge CE240W appears to be one of the more expensive contenders in the 24-inch widescreen monitor market. Other 24-inch widescreens have plummeted in price, but the CE240W has held onto its high MSRP for a very good reason....

ColorEdge CE240W LCD Monitor

ColorEdge CE240W LCD Monitor, with its 16:10 aspect ratio and increased horizontal viewing space, is perfect for use with Adobe Photoshop and its palettes, watching widescreen DVDs, or displaying two full A4 pages side by side.

Accurate color

Color drop-off at wider viewing angles

Colors and illumination are consistent from edge to edge; however, at viewing angles greater than 70° there's a noticeable drop-off in color. Despite the limited viewing angle, the 240W is still an excellent choice for professional photographers and...

Poor Finish

Eizo has become a mainstream company. They are going down as they started S-series. But they keep the premium prices so it won't make any sense to buy their monitors soon...

The display is very good even for PVM monitor.

Poor finish - AWFULL buttons. My power button after being used for 1 month started showing signes of usage - it has become a polished ugly spot!!! The base is also not as it used to be in CG or L series monitors.

If you are a Graphics nerd...

I'm into graphics, but I'm a gamer, too. It is a pleasure to play first-person shooters on this machine. I've never thought about a Gama adjustment when playing Half-Life.

I am finicky about my graphics display, and delayed replacing my Sony 21" GDM-F500R because all the TFT displays looked lame when reproducing color and gradients in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. When my display started "blinking out", I did some...

Well, price, but like I said above, if you are a stickler for graphics, this is worth the money.

EIZO BY NANAO - 24IN LCD 1000:1 1920X1200 CE240W-BK BLACK 2XDVI-I 8MS WIDE

Stunning color and resolution. Easy calibration in minutes. A great time saver for photo editing and printing. Works with many calibration hardware brands, including ColorVision Spyder 2.

The new colorvision Spyder 3 may or may not be usable until there is a software update. You will have to call colorvision to double c.

EIZO BY NANAO - 24IN LCD 1000:1 1920X1200 CE240W-BK BLACK 2XDVI-I 8MS WIDE

Given the quality, reliability, customer service and built-in profiling (vs graphics card adjustments), this is one fine monitor. I have used it in Photoshop extensively now and I can print what I see. I have also used it for an occasional game and...

Outstanding image, built-in profiles via internal LUT is great (vs. adjusting through a graphics card), the "arc" positioning of the screen is very nice and the quality is obvious.

Pricey, as most will say, but worth it compared to similar units I have seen.
