Gateway FHD2401

Gateway's FHD2401 24-inch monitor delivers great color quality and looks good doing it.

Great color and text reproduction. Good motion handling. Stylish design.

Narrow viewing angles. Lacks multimedia ports. Tilt-only stand.

Gateway HD2201 review: Gateway HD2201

Gateway HD2201

Low price; great games and movie performance; good quality sound from optional speaker bar.

Bad lower viewing angle; OSD buttons are not very responsive; time consuming to navigate the OSD.

The 22-inch Gateway HD2201 monitor boasts great movies and games performance, includes both HDMI and DVI connections, and has a low price.

Gateway FHD2401

The Gateway FHD2401 hits a ball or two out of the park, but we're not terribly impressed by this 24-inch panel's overall performance.

92% color gamut, HDMI support, good dark greys

Poor light-greyscale showing; banding and color-tracking problems; no component input or height adjustment

The FHD2401 offers support for HDMI, VGA, and DVI inputs, but no component input. You can’t adjust the monitor’s height either, a sloppy omission for a monitor in this size class.

Gateway HD2201

We want to like this monitor, but too many issues stand in the way.

Good darks; plenty of inputs

Noticeable greyscale banding, color tracking issues

The monitor is laden with connection options, though it lacks optimized presets for different multimedia content. Even given its technical failings, the HD2201’s splendid darker coloration and input options are enough to squeak it past displays like...

24″ Gateway FHD2401 LCD

It is usually overlooked and very often taken for granted but what would our computers be without our monitors? Yep, you guessed it…useless!! There are many things to consider with monitors but today I will not be so general. I will specifically be...

Price ; Amazing “WOW” factor ; Ultra Response turned on, equals a 2ms panel ; Glossy screen. It makes all the images seem more vivid and it really makes the colours ‘pop ; The aesthetics (how it looks) are very stylish ; Touch sensitive menu system ;...

No USB hub ; No height adjustment, pivot or swivel

Gateway has delivered a wonderful product at a decent price point. Although the MSRP is US $399.99, it can be found at online retailers for roughly US $300. I bought mine on an amazing deal for only US $189.99 and I am extremely happy with my purchase....

Gateway FHD2401 HD Display Monitor

Gateway's new FHD2401 is a fairly full-featured monitor that provides three video inputs, enough for a PC and an HD game console or Blu-ray player as well as a satellite or cable box. The set doesn't have built-in speakers, but does have provision for...

The Gateway provides a bright and vivid HD picture, and has sufficient inputs to handle three HD sources, including a computer. The vivid color palette adds extra color emphasis that, while providing an eyepopping picture, also tends to overly enhance...

The monitor is pretty awesome.

Huge Screen, 16 million colors! The set up is really simple.

You have to buy a speaker bar separately.

Decent LCD ruined by horrible interface

You can find a better monitor for a similar price these days. Look elsewhere.

Good prize for the size ; Image on screen is pretty clear and looks good

Touchscreen controls are horrendous. Often they freeze up. This is a pain if you switch inputs often like I do. It requires you to unplug your monitor. My touchscreen's completely given out now so I don't have access to my monitor's settings or input...

Bottom line is I'm happy

I had a 1600x1200 monitor, and I couldn't stomach giving up 150 vertical pixels, so I decided to buy this. I don't regret it -- I like this monitor a lot. It's worth the awesome price.

Price is outstanding. 1920x1200. The touchscreen controls are better than buttons. HDMI input, cool, I hope someday to put that to use

I wish it had a bit more vertical viewing angle. As I look at it, at the top of the display, colors are a little darker than at the center or the bottom. This doesn't affect usability much ; A glossy display only means any light in the background is...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Pretty good so far.

It seems like a very good monitor for the price I paid. The Backlight bleed is not a very big issue to me but makes me wonder if it might hinder with its life span.

Very nice size screen ; Very vibrant colors ; 1920x1200/16:10 ; Seems like good build quality

Some Backlight bleed which seems to be getting more noticeable after each week passes but nothing unexpected since researching the monitor shows this
