Gateway FPD2275W review: Gateway FPD2275W

Gateway FPD2275W

Excellent image quality; bevy of video ports; four USB 2.0 ports; thin bezel and lack of menu buttons creates attractive appearance; sturdy base.

One-year warranty is two years less than average; touch-sensitive controls are too sensitive; slightly less contrast than competing displays; lacks DVI cable.

If not for the short warranty, the Gateway FPD2275W would have taken home an Editors' Choice award for its winning design, feature set, and performance. If you can live with a one-year warranty (or spring for the extended coverage), we recommend this...

It's nearly 2012 and i'm writing a review on this monitor, that should say something.

I got this monitor as a Christmas present from my parents way back in (probably) '08 and i've never wanted another monitor. I often take the monitor to LAN parties, and even in its travels, it still performs perfectly. There's absolutely no damage to...

It's lasted this long and there's been absolutely no picture degradation, it performs just like it did out of the box ; Sharp picture for great quality inputs ; Multiple types of inputs (Compnent, VGA, DVI, S-Video, Composite) ; I use the...

The touch menu controls can be a little frustrating to use sometimes ; Doesn't handle darks as well as other monitors. My brightness is all the way up ; Doesn't have any HDMI ports, but that's okay- it has a DVI port and HDMI is backwards compatible to...

great image

Very high picture quality, I was quite amazed, blew the other lcd monitors I had away

Theres "pressure" buttons on the right side of the monitor, and sometimes they don't work. If the monitor gets unplugged, then when you turn it on it puts a dialog on the screen asking you for your "default language". If the buttons don't work, then...

Awesome Equipment!

I could fill two pages more with good thoughts and recommendations for this monitor - Do yourself a favor, treat yourself to something nice - BUY THIS ONE!

Awesome Picture in all the connection types. I love the touch sensitive buttons and the menu is great. Getting use to the soft touch does have a slight learning curve. Nothing bad, just sensitive is all! I use this monitor on my gaming rig because of...

2 things I found - 1.- No speakers included but you really didn't want a sound bar anyway! 2nd - Not waiting until now to buy; the price has dropped $200 since I bought it. THAT'S OK! I'll just go out and get another at this price-Thanks NewEgg

not bad at all

i am happy with this monitor. i run my xbox, ps2, computer and a cable box in to this thing. the menu system is the best i have seen on any monitor. really a great great monitor. i did not buy this from new egg as they did not have it when i got it.

very nice picture. bright. good contrast. will hook up to just about anything. pip works great. accurate color when calibrated using the included software

mine came with 1 red pixel in the right hand top part of the screen. never notice it unless screen is black in that part. will some times lock up or take a long time to take away the input selection info box. just pull the plug and put back and works...

Perfect! Even for a dorm room!!!

I bought this monitor so I could play my Xbox 360 in hi-def. I love the fact that it actually came with component, composite, DVI, VGA, S-video, and it even has 4 USB ports in it. This is the only monitor I could find that had all these connections, ...

Low price, tons of inputs, amazing image quality, best buy

when looking up at screen, if not angled correctly screen cannot be seen

Best multi funtional LCD some Tips

Ok, it isn't a Samsung display or the new HP glossy displays. It has Component, Composite, S-Video, DVI-D, VGA, and 4 USB. Picture in Picture. This monitor is one of the best choices for a Computer Home entertainment set up. I have my X Box 360 hooked ...

WOW!

After returning two X2GEN 22" monitors from Costco (great price, but neither would work with DVI) I decided to get a quality monitor made by a reputable manufacturer (I had never heard of "X2GEN" before). Extensive research culminated in my deciding on...

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful picture! Great design. Many inputs, including 4 USB ports on the monitor

Just the complaint about the EZTune software. Hope they fix it soon
