Hanns-G HZ281HPB WideScreen LCD Monitor

In the 2D market, the video monitor is essentially the last piece of hardware in the complex conversion of computer data into visual images. LCD monitors ranging from 22 inch to 26 inch, are now affordable to most consumers. But, many of you are hungry...

Large 27.5-inch screen ; Bright and immersive LCD panel ; 1920x1200 resolution ; Glossy black frame is sturdy, tilts back ; Inputs for VGA, DVI, HDMI, and Audio ; Good menu system ; Economical price

Lacks forward Tilt, height Adjust ; Button controls are hard to use ; Speakers lack deep bass ; Pixel return policy ; Marketed as 28" monitor

The Hanns·G HZ281HPB performed spectacularly during the review process. The screen looks amazing. Its so huge that it dwarfs my 22 inch 1080p monitor. The 1920x1200 resolution really improves how I can work with various programming tools and modeling...

Terrible customer service if something goes wrong

beautiful while it worked

the 3 years warranty is useless when customer service doesn't answer inquiries about the monitor ; I've sent 3 separate emails asking about the warranty as one of the two monitors I bought has red banding and color issues ; Haven't heard a word from...

DIED JUST AFTER 2 YEARS!!!

What I thought was funny is when the tech tried to tell me how much better the warranty was on this monitor than most other manufacturers' warranties, going on and on how they extended the warranty to 3 years where most others are only 1 year. I asked...

Worked just fine when it worked.. nice picture

Died 2 years and 1 month after purchase: screen turned white and stays white when powering up computer. At first, I thought it was my computer that was at fault, but then I hooked up an old Dell monitor that I had and that worked fine. I also tried...

Affordable, not sure yet on Dependable

The adjustments not actually doing anything I'm referring to Brightness, Contrast, etc. For instance the brightness and contrast should adjust your peak white and black levels, it's actually just increasing the backlight. * Precalibrated the gamma...

Good monitor for price

Adjustments don't really do anything as far as picture quality ; Color accuracy not bad (after you calibrate) ; Not as vibrant as an expensive monitor, but for the price who cares ; Had one monitor die randomly after 1 year of use, more info below ;...

good product, if you buy the extended warranty

sometimes you get what you pay for, other times not so much. not sure if $25 bucks a month for one monitor im about to smash is worth it. look for my destruction vid on youtube..shotgun style.

Good for price, solid work and gaming monitor

worked out of the box, 7 months later I have a teal blue vertical line, bout to shove it off my desk. always, always, always buy the extended warranty. stupid, stupid, stupid..figured it would work for a few years and by then I'd go bigger with better...

Good Value

This is a monsterous display with good resolution for the money

Up close the display can look a little fuzzy and not very crisp, but that's not surprising given the size

Good, not Great

If you just want a big huge bright monitor for under $300, HANNS-G is your boy. I will personally not be purchasing another in the future, as it seems spending a little extra in the monitor world really would pay off.

If you're buyig this monitor, you're not looking for the best of everything, you're looking to get something that's huge that won't break the bank. This is that monitor. It is quite large, painless to set up, and looks good

This monitor has a few cons though ; First, the contrast ratio is not the best in the world. On the many calibrators I've owned the top and low ends wash out a bit ; Secondly, it's extremely difficult to get this monitor to look great for all...
