HP 27xi Review

Thin is in. From Ultrabooks to phones to all-in-one PCs, the thinner the better. If manufacturers make it thin and sexy looking, customers will flock straight to these svelte products, right? Of course, if all products are sleek and gorgeous, actual...

Very good image quality ; Accurate color rendition ; Sharp looking chassis

Limited stand adjustment ; No VESA mounts on back; can't be mounted on an ergonomic stand ; No DisplayPort

HP’s latest Pavilion 27xi monitor would look great on any executive’s desk. It’s thin, elegant, and takes up surprisingly little tabletop space for a 27-inch display.

HP Pavilion 27xi

There's something about a frame with no bezel that catches your eye, which is one reason why we're starting to see more and more monitors sporting the "floating screen" design. One such model, the HP Pavilion 27xi, features a 27-inch IPS panel and an...

Great color and viewing angles. Sleek design. Good grayscale performance. Energy efficient

Reflective coating. Tilt-only stand. No USB ports

The HP Pavilion 27xi is a beautifully designed 27-inch monitor featuring a bezel-less cabinet and a gorgeous IPS panel. Performance is solid but the panel?s reflective coating can be distracting.

HP Pavilion 27xi

The HP Pavilion 27xi is a sleek, affordable 27-inch monitor that easily meets simple monitor needs. That is, movie-watching, gaming, and general Web browsing as well as productivity. It's a no-frills monitor that includes the holy trinity of...

The HP Pavilion 27xi features a beautiful, streamlined design, great performance, and useful screen customization options.

The monitor feels plasticky, ergonomic options are limited, and the screen reflects sunlight something fierce.

As long as you have no advanced demands, the Pavilion 27xi will meet your basic needs with aplomb.

"Awesome monitor at a great price."

If you just want a screen, with great picture quality and a low price, and are going to use HDMI or purchase your own cables, and do not need sound, then this is a great monitor. The main monitor part is superb, with just the extras feeling a little...

The screen quality is superb, and the control system on the bottom right-hand corner is great and easy to use. The stand seems to be made of metal. It was easy to assemble the stand.

The cables (VGA, DVI) that are included are not good, and create what appear to be bad pixels until you straighten them out. There are no speakers in this monitor, unlike HP's own Envy 27. It is made of plastic on the rear, and below the glass panel.

Do not buy

none

Highly reflective screen. Very bad IPS glow. Poor blacks and washed out, low contrast look. Plasticky screen cover (which is suppose to be glass) is not fully attached. Cheap casing. Wobbly stand

I bought this mainly as a PC & console gaming monitor but was disappointed.

These are my main problems with this monitor 1. No color saturation option I think most monitors always have a color saturation option, this monitor doesn't. I have an old AOC 720p 19" monitor that has a color saturation option with a slide bar where...

slim ; light weight ; doesn't get burning hot, only warm ; 27" is noticeably a lot bigger compared to 19

weak color reproduction, low color saturation ; no color saturation option ; power cable input in back of monitor gets loose causing monitor to turn off ; reflective screen (liquid crystal display) ; no speakers or headphone jack input ; 7ms for gaming...

Ballin' Monitor!

Get this one.

You want this monitor! You NEED this monitor! The sleek design screams high-end! Factory settings are golden from the initial setup

None. Just that my desk needs to be bigger now because two of these bad boys side by side for a dual display setup is in my future

Great Monitor Value

Great picture, got it on a deal. Monitor looks good

Monitor surface is glossy, so need to be aware of this. Glare isn't an issue for me where I have it located. No height adjustment

Very Disappointed

RMAing it this week hopefully the customer service at ASUS is good first time dealing with them.

Very nice looking monitor

Well I really liked this monitor until it started to die. Had it about 9 months then it started to flicker. Formed lines all along the left side from the top to bottom dead pixels everywhere

Wow..

I've been using personal computer monitors since the Apple II. I've had a bunch over the years. This is simply the best monitor I've owned. And the price was certainly justified. I couldn't be happier

I've only owned it a day, so something may crop up.. but nothing showing up out of the box
