HP 27xi Review

Thin is in. From Ultrabooks to phones to all-in-one PCs, the thinner the better. If manufacturers make it thin and sexy looking, customers will flock straight to these svelte products, right? Of course, if all products are sleek and gorgeous, actual...

Very good image quality ; Accurate color rendition ; Sharp looking chassis

Limited stand adjustment ; No VESA mounts on back; can't be mounted on an ergonomic stand ; No DisplayPort

HP’s latest Pavilion 27xi monitor would look great on any executive’s desk. It’s thin, elegant, and takes up surprisingly little tabletop space for a 27-inch display.

HP Pavilion 27xi

There's something about a frame with no bezel that catches your eye, which is one reason why we're starting to see more and more monitors sporting the "floating screen" design. One such model, the HP Pavilion 27xi, features a 27-inch IPS panel and an...

Great color and viewing angles. Sleek design. Good grayscale performance. Energy efficient

Reflective coating. Tilt-only stand. No USB ports

The HP Pavilion 27xi is a beautifully designed 27-inch monitor featuring a bezel-less cabinet and a gorgeous IPS panel. Performance is solid but the panel?s reflective coating can be distracting.

HP Pavilion 27xi

The HP Pavilion 27xi is a sleek, affordable 27-inch monitor that easily meets simple monitor needs. That is, movie-watching, gaming, and general Web browsing as well as productivity. It's a no-frills monitor that includes the holy trinity of...

The HP Pavilion 27xi features a beautiful, streamlined design, great performance, and useful screen customization options.

The monitor feels plasticky, ergonomic options are limited, and the screen reflects sunlight something fierce.

As long as you have no advanced demands, the Pavilion 27xi will meet your basic needs with aplomb.

"Awesome monitor at a great price."

If you just want a screen, with great picture quality and a low price, and are going to use HDMI or purchase your own cables, and do not need sound, then this is a great monitor. The main monitor part is superb, with just the extras feeling a little...

The screen quality is superb, and the control system on the bottom right-hand corner is great and easy to use. The stand seems to be made of metal. It was easy to assemble the stand.

The cables (VGA, DVI) that are included are not good, and create what appear to be bad pixels until you straighten them out. There are no speakers in this monitor, unlike HP's own Envy 27. It is made of plastic on the rear, and below the glass panel.

Very Disappointed

RMAing it this week hopefully the customer service at ASUS is good first time dealing with them.

Very nice looking monitor

Well I really liked this monitor until it started to die. Had it about 9 months then it started to flicker. Formed lines all along the left side from the top to bottom dead pixels everywhere

Wow..

I've been using personal computer monitors since the Apple II. I've had a bunch over the years. This is simply the best monitor I've owned. And the price was certainly justified. I couldn't be happier

I've only owned it a day, so something may crop up.. but nothing showing up out of the box

Excellent choice for budget gamers

Some people are saying this card is a waste of money, these people are very much wrong and need to get a non-defective card. My card has easily kept up with a 660 and at times I've even seen my boost clock get up to 1206mhz. Also cooling was a breeze...

This card's performance exceeded my expectations. Planning on getting another for SLI ; Skyrim modded: 45-70 fps ; Arma II maxed: 30-60 fps ; War thunder maxed: 55-140 fps ; Dead Space 3 maxed: Constant 60fps ; Battlefield 3 maxed: 50-65 fps ; Bioshock...

Card was a bit bigger than I originally expected but It ended up working out better because my case GPU fans fit perfectly overtop

If you buy this monitor, you will not be disappointed.

Just got this monitor yesterday, and WOW!!!!! it is big. This monitor is replacing a four year old HP 2509,which is still working. The colors are sharper on this monitor compared to the 2509,but the 2509 is still good.My 2509 is a refurb, and never have...

Way too reflective

I rarely return/exchange items, but this may be a deal breaker for me. Not sure why they couldn't have put more effort into anti-reflective coating.

Beautiful image and colors, nice refresh rate for IPS

Way too reflective for me. I underestimated the other reviews. It's like a mirror and anytime it's a darker image I see everything reflected back - and I'm not in a bright room
