HP 2009m

The $200 HP 2009m, an affordable 20-inch widescreen display, produced impressive image quality in our subjective tests. We saw nuanced, accurate skin tones in photographs, and found small fonts easy to read. The screen has a glossy, antireflective...

Nice image quality ; HD-ready aspect ratio

Lacks an HDMI connection

This affordable display showed impressive image quality, but lacks an HDMI connection.

HP 2009m

The HP 2009m has a street price of $180, but online costs as little as $140. The monitor includes a couple of useful ergonomic options, built in speakers, and a pleasing aesthetic. While its color reproduction leaves something to be desired and its...

The HP 2009m includes screen tilt and swivel, built in speakers, and decent movie and game performance.

The HP 2009m's low brightness keeps colors in games and movies from standing out and the ultraglossy screen is ultrareflective and sometimes prevents dark details from being seen.

The HP 2009m is a good-looking 20-inch display with enough features to make it well worth its low price.

Review: HP 2009m LCD

HP's 2009m is an affordable 20-inch widescreen display that produced impressive image quality in our subjective tests.

The 2009m’s 16:9 aspect ratio and 1,600-by-900 native resolution makes it appropriate for showing HD content. However, the 2009m does not have an HDMI connection—-it offers only VGA and DVI ports. The ports are set in at the back of the display; to...

HP 2009m

The HP 2009m is a basic 20-inch wide-screen LCD with a very good price-versus-performance ratio, though we bemoan its lack of HDMI.

Excellent performance for the price; smart, if slightly dull, design

No USB or HDMI ports; lacks height or swivel adjustment; ill-placed headphone port

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

A Good Deal

I bought two of these monitors from Wal-Mart and I've owned them for almost 2 years without any problems ; Primary usage is more screen space for my 3D applications, Maya and Softimage, but I occasionally play games and watch DVDs with them

None so far

HP 2009m

I would highly recommend getting a different monitor, as HP costumer support will do nothing for you to fix your problem. Spent half an hour on the phone with someone telling me I must not be doing it right, the troubleshooting that is. And then trying...

The monitor has overall good graphics

After having it a year it started giving power button lockout errors and the power button fails to respond, even after holding it for a minute it won't turn off the lockout. Cant even get into the menu to reset to factory defaults. Unplugging it even...

Died after 8 months

Serously makes me wonder what might have happened if the monitored failed while no one was home, to make this even more concerning is that the monitor still actually works but emits a foul smell and immense heat so the I assume the overload circuit...

Amazing quality, terrible life-span.

When I first set up my display, I was amazed by the quality. For the price I paid, I had expected much less. I was running dual displays with the 2009m as my primary. But after about four months, I was no longer able to turn it on. I have never even...

Amazing color and quality for the price ; Sleek design ; Lightweight

HD setting is fairly low resolution ; Dies" faster than anything I can imagine
