HP L2045W

HP's L2045W 20-inch LCD monitor is pretty sweet, with one minor caveat.

Fully ergo adjustable; USB ports; fine performer

Minor color-tracking imperfections

Being a professional model, the L2045w is not equipped with HDCP and thus, like the ViewSonic model, is unable to play copy-protected high-definition content, such as commercial HD DVD and Blu-ray discs, so take heed.

HP L2045W

If you work out of your home, once the workday is done you're free to kick back and watch a DVD or get in a few rounds of gaming on the same computer you were just using to plot spreadsheets. But unless you have a monitor that can handle moving images...

Good overall performance. Fully adjustable stand. Includes USB ports

Lacks A/V connections. Mediocre grayscale performance. Does not include USB cables

The HP L2045w is a versatile 20-inch widescreen display that is more than capable of handling your everyday office workload. It features a few business-friendly amenities but lacks multimedia connections beyond the usual DVI and analog ports.

HP L2045w

When HP released the 20.1″ L2045w widescreen LCD monitor, they categorized it as a business-level LCD monitor. This classification hints that the L2045w is a lower-spec monitor reserved for boring desk jobs and monotonous Office-suite use. HP is...

Affordable; USB 2.0 hub built-in; beautiful screen ; 5ms response rate; widescreen display

600:1 contrast ratio; wide footprint; DVI cable is not included

The L2045w is a worthy 20.1" LCD monitor for general use, office use and even for mid-level video use.

If I had extra money, I would have two more of these.

Perfect right out of the box. I looked around a lot before buying it. I wanted one that had an an adjustable stand and they are getting harder to find. Perfect matte finish that matches my tower. Beautiful color,no glare and no dead pixels. It is perfect

This was my first wide screen and I realized I can''t work like that - photos and art are too distorted. I gave it to my daughter and kept my old Dell LCD.

Lots of adjustment for height and tilt

With text, it seemed every other line was slightly grey or fuzzy. Very annoying, especially since the reviews said how great it was for office work

Input is selectable by button on front for running dual computers/devices (as long as 1 is DVI and 1 is VGA). However, we use all of them in extended mode.

Height/Tilt/Pivot/Swivel adjustments. No dead pixels on 20+ I ordered. Great sturdy base! 1680x1050 resolution. HP quality throughout

Came with brightness set to 100 - have to set it down to 50 in our offices. No HDCP support

But it.... you'll like it.....

Buy it! You won't be disappointed. Oh, and they shipped it with not one, but TWO DVI cables!! I read other reviews that said they didn't get any. I guess I got theirs hahaha. It also came with a VGA cable.

Nice, sturdy base, swivels in three planes (plus can be moved vertically as well), good brightness straight on. Easy to use controls. Detected immediately in Linux. Easy to use controls. Not one dead pixel. I've had this over 6 weeks and no problems to...

I hesitate to mention this, because I'm always looking straight on to the monitor. I noticed if you view it from an angle, it's not quite as bright, but who looks at their monitor from an angle anyway?

Best of the rest

Buy it

The best I have bought for myself or others (total of 17 monitors in 4 yrs) Love the USB and the tilt-height and pivot along with great graphics and color resolution

price (just kidding)

I haven''t had it long enough yet to really p judgement. So far it seems fine.

Screen seems clear and easy to read

It''s very large and heavy - particularly the base structure. Takes up a lot of space on my desk. Screen is very very bright, especially when lights are not on

Best Monitor Stand

I browsed for about a year before buying this monitor so I really did the comparisons and knew it would be good. But still, I was surprised by the solid construction of this product and the image quality.

Excellent features for a reasonable price. The sturdy, adjustable stand is greatly superior to what you usually get with a monitor. This is especially important if you use the pivot feature to switch between landscape and portrait viewing modes. The...

On an older computer case, the DVI plug was a bit too thick to fit past an obstruction and plug into the video card. This was solved by shaving off a few millimeters of plastic from the plug using a wood chisel.
