HP Flat Panel Monitor L2335

Until recently, the top choice had been a 15-inch model with XGA resolution (1,024 by 768 pixels). But the improved economics of flat-panel manufacturing soon made 17-inch SXGA models (1,280 by 1,024 pixels) popular. In fact, 17-inch displays have...

Generally good image quality. Video inputs with PiP. Panel rotates to portrait mode and has supporting software

Viewing-angle performance is good but not great. Text looks bold and fuzzy when viewed from the side in portrait mode. Weak printed documentation

With a 23-inch screen and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the HP L2335 is wide, and since it rotates to portrait mode, it's tall, too. It has some weaknesses, primarily in terms of viewing-angle performance, but it generally does a good job. At $1,599 direct,...

HP L2335 Silver 23'' LCD Monitor

With height, swivel, tilt, and even the ability to pivot, the L2335 is one of the most adjustable large wide-screen monitors we've seen. Another unusual feature: You can set the screen image to one-to-one, fill-to-aspect-ratio, or fill-to-screen. Like...

HOTNESS

I would recommend this monitor to those who would helplessly fork out the cash as i have done.

Nice monitor as ive noticed on my DVI input to the x1900xt card. 1920x1200 res is serious! No dead Pixels

Yea as expected, the price, nothing else so far

Owned over 6 months now.

I might just get another one of these, I'll definatlly consider HP again. HP makes good monitors for sure. I feel I got a good monitor for my money.

This is a follow up review from on down the page. I just wanted to tell anyone who is thinking about getting this monitor but thinks its high, to stop thinking and buy it. This monitor is the best monitor I ever owned and I am thinking of getting...

Other than that dead pixel none

Just what the doctor ordered...

I'm using the L2335 via the VGA (analog) port and hope to move up to a newer video card soon. I'm currently running a Gainward (NVidia GForce 3 Ti200) card and am quite happy so far. If you do any investments in the stock market and use software for...

Excellent screen clarity and real estate compared to my recently deceased Sony 21" E540 CRT (which was really 20" in CRT speak). I have no dead or stuck pixels and UPS (as usual in my area) beat the box pretty well. HP's packing paid off ; I read just...

Let me just say up-front that I really have no complaints. Like most people, I had real sticker shock and mental struggling with the price. But, that is quickily fading because of the video-joy this monitor offers ; I'm having to re-do some of my...

Excellent display for gaming

I also just purchased one of these from NewEgg and all I can say is WOW ; This is my first LCD monitor, had a 19" CRT before, and I love it. Believe me ; when I say that gaming on this thing is awesome ; I play mostly FPS games and I am very picky...

Like someone else said before you almost need a screwdriver to get vga cable off. It comes pre-connected to the display

Good splurge

Although I like the connectivity of this monitor, I must say that it boggles my mind how no manufacturer has had the common sense to give 2 DVI inputs. B/c at the end of the day, you'll be wanting to use DVI on this puppy. And my powerbook can use it,...

This is a great screen, same as Apple cinema HD. Can't think of a better thing to spend a lot on

No second DVI input

No regrets

All told, I'm very very pleased with this monitor. No regrets.

I was a little wary spending over a grand on a monitor, but now that I've used it for a couple of months, it's been well worth it. The screen arrived very well packaged, and I'm running it on a GF6600 at native resolution with no problems other than...

As with most LCD's, the blacks aren't really black, just a very dark gray. The blips I mentioned above are noticable, but not at all troubling. The HP2335 is very expensive

Amazing monitor

Great monitor. It is about year and a half old, but still rocks.

This is an amazing screen. I was torn between this monitor and the 2405FPW. You probably won't got wrong with either, but I read a review that this monitor had a better panel.I use it with a AGP GeForce 6800GT at the highest resolution. Brightness is...

Came with 1 dead pixel, but its not noticable at all ; No USB or Firewire ports which is a little annoying ; As one reviewer mentioned, it gomes with a VGA cable attached which is kind of dumb. It is easily removed with a pair of pliers to unscrew it

Product Specifications

The HP Flat Panel Monitor L2335 is a 23-inch flat panel monitor that is ideally suited for workstation and power users. This flagship model provides ultra-sharp 1920 x 1200 resolutions on a massive 23-inch viewable wide aspect screen that outperforms many high-end CRTs on the market. Advanced features include extra-wide viewing angles, super-thin bezels, multiple inputs (analog, digital, video), ultra-high refresh rates, and a height-adjustable base with portrait rotation capability. A 16: 9 wide aspect screen instead of the traditional 4: 3 square display lets you choose an extra-wide landscape display, or pivot the screen 90 degrees for an extra-long portrait display. The monitor offers exceptional clarity with a super-bright screen, 350: 1 high contrast ratio, superior scaling/image processing, and 170-degree viewing angles. The anti-glare coating and flicker-free presentation of this monitor, designed to help eliminate glare and reduce eyestrain and fatigue, meet the TCO 03 requirements specified by The Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees. The integrated power supply eliminates bulky "power bricks" and improves cable management, making it easier to mount the monitor on the wall or on an arm. A height-adjustable base and 90-degree pivot capability help you achieve comfortable eye contact with the screen. Front direct access keys let you quickly adjust video input sources, brightness, contrast, and other settings. This monitor also includes picture in picture capability (PIP), so an external video source can be viewed while you work. A space-saving, lightweight design and detachable base help make mounting, handling, and shipping easier. The slim profile and small footprint, even with the extra-large screen size, take less room and free up more usable desk space than traditional CRT monitors. HP helps protect the environment by designing for low emissions and using recyclable plastics while limiting heavy metals or other potentially harmful elements. In addition to TCO 03, this monitor complies with Energy Star for environmental friendliness and power savings. HP monitors meet very high levels of quality and reliability. The HP L2335 monitor is fully tested and qualified to assure backward and forward interoperability and compatibility with legacy, current, and in-development HP desktops, workstations, and other products. HP monitors withstand rigorous quality testing to ensure that they meet high HP performance standards.
