HP 2311gt

You can almost hear the din over 3D subsiding these days, like a band of carnies riding into the sunset after shaking down every kid in town for a ride on the Sea Dragon. The novelty of seeing television in three dimensions for the first time has come...

DVI, VGA and HDMI inputs ; Understated, low-key design ; Convincing 3D performance

Horizontal stripes from polarizing filter ; Greenish tint out of the box ; Average brightness diminished by 3D glasses ; Not many settings to tweak

Its passive 3D mode goes a long way in improving impressions, but you should be prepared to make extensive use of 3D to make its $270 price tag feel worthwhile.

HP x2301 LCD Monitor Review: Glossy Display Boasts Unusual Design

The glossy-screened HP x2301, with its dark gray bezel, aluminum trim, and green-tinted translucent base, is certainly out to make an impression. Unfortunately, this 23-inch monitor's performance isn't nearly as impressive as its design.

Striking design

Mediocre screen performance

The x2301 stands out with its striking translucent base and glossy screen, but its viewing angle and screen uniformity are mediocre.

HP x2301

While the TV industry has been busy hammering, slicing and shaving TVs down to inconceivably thin dimensions, monitor makers have been watching – and following suit. The same technology that makes TVs so inconceivably thin — LED backlights — makes even...

Incredibly thin display panel ; Sharp, colorful picture ; Effective antiglare coating ; Practical base-mounted buttons, connections ; Low power consumption

Little room for adjustment, no VESA mounts ; Sometimes quirky interface

While it can’t match the viewing angle or contrast of pricier monitors with IPS panels, the x2301 will make a majority of users extremely happy for the $249 price tag...

HP x2301 Micro Thin LED monitor

LED-based monitors actually worth their asking price is a recent trend I can easily get behind. Displays such as the Dell S2330MX and the Samsung S23A550H are LED-based, low-priced, and, when push comes to shove, are ultimately worth their low prices.

The HP x2301 features a thin panel, a well-designed OSD array and menu, and easy-to-access connection options, all at a great low price

The monitor's green push can be minimized but not eliminated

The HP x2301's low price, good performance, and sound design make it a new high-water mark for budget monitors.

Review: HP 2311gt 3D monitor

HP targets budget market with 2311gt 3D monitor

Inexpensive ; Lightweight glasses ; No problems with flicker, crosstalk ; Full HD

Mediocre color, contrast ratio ; Narrow viewing angle compared to IPS

HP is among the many companies embracing 3D technology, and its 2311gt monitor aims to make the technology an affordable upgrade. The 23-inch monitor works as a standard 2D display, or as a 3D panel when combined with passive 3D glasses. In our full

"This monitor is great for any on a budget or new buyer."

After spending some time adjusting, I found that I could ENTIRELY remove the green push and neutralize the colors. Once completed, the picture is wonderful for a 60hz monitor. I use this monitor for gaming, regular computing, school work, movies,...

Thin, affordable, elegant, glossy, bright, clear, and fast response time.

No wall mount, very restricted viewing angle, gloss can exaggerate picture in negative ways, and concerning on small or wobbly desks.

broke down on the second day

The monitor decided to break down on me on my second day of using it. It is just not cool at all. The monitor wasn't registering the dvi and vga cable at all. Don't know what the deal is besides that it is broken. I ended up buying a LG 27 inch monitor...

great design, good price

Glossy it still is, but not as good as they used to be

I have been a fan of HP monitors mostly for one reason - their glossy panels. I was in awe with 2159m the moment I started using it several years ago, and when I got a bigger version of the same monitor, 2509m, I liked it even more. It was the glossy...

Just beautiful...

I bought one like 4 months ago for my pc and xbox 360 and I was really impressed... First I had a glossy HP 2310 which was fine but it was a LCD monitor and I wanted to upgrade it for a LED, so I bought the HP 2311x I found out it was matte finish and...
