Nice Monitor

Great price and service. Newegg is the best!

Attractive screen frame and pedestal. Auto adjust works great. So far no dead pixels. The picture is very good for what It is used for which is mainly web surfing and MS Word

I wish the power button was separate or raised. My old eyes have to fumble around for it

Widescreen is the suck

It's the only good monitor for watching anamorphic 16:9 DVDs, but that is the only thing that it's good for.

Well, if you absolutely insist on widescreen against all common sense, and you don't want to blow 3 grand on a four-foot-wide plasma TV or something, then this monitor is the one to get. It operates at a 1.77:1 aspect ratio, which is the only REAL...

Umm... it's still widescreen. Widescreen is useless for: (a) any program that is not designed to run in a window; (b) DVDs that are encoded at fullscreen (you'll get black bars at the sides); (c) DVDs that are encoded in non-anamorphic widescreen...

Great display, fast shipping

Be sure your graphics card supports 1280x800 resolution. I had to upgrade

Decent monitor

Sharp, bright picture with good vewing angle. As with other KDS monitors I have used, this one performs very well for the price range. Looks good too

It was kind of hard to connect the video cable with my big hands because it is behind the mount, giving very little room to turn the screws by hand

Great

In response to the 2nd review, every screen, LCD, DLP, Plasma or CRT is measured diagonally, this has never changed. You must set your resolution to the native for the monitor. A 4:3 resolution such as 1280x1024 or probably in your case 1024x760 is...

Widescreen, good brightness, response time is good for non-gaming use. Much better than my wife's 15" De

A bit think in terms of LCDs but not bad enough to lose a star

Questionable

Could be my video card so I didn't put this as a Con... Since it sized more like a 15" than a 17" it stretches the display on the screen. Looks ok, but if the display area was really as tall as a 17" monitor I don't think this would be an issue!

Very clear monitor. It works very well

Not what I expected. This is more like a 15" wide screen than a 17". I guess they still use the corner to corner to measure it

wide screen is deffinitly a plus when gameing or watching movies its a wonderfull thing not to adjust the screen to see in wide screen but the screen its self is
