LG 29EA93 Review

LG's 29EA93 monitor offers a 29-inch diagonal screen size, which seems big. But that number is deceptive since the panel is also barely 12 inches high. This is one of those newfangled, ultra-widescreen monitors, sporting a pixel resolution of 2560 x...

Good overall image quality ; Detailed controls ; Screen Split is handy utility

21:9 aspect ratio doesn’t play well with games and some movies ; Color accuracy out of the box is poor ; Controls are a nuisance to navigate ; No height adjustment available

While we applaud LG for trying something innovative, this may be a case of too much, too soon. However, if you don’t have the desktop space for two full monitors, the 29EA93 may serve well as a normal desktop display.

LG 29EA93 Monitor Review - Rev. 1.25

Last year I reviewed the LG 29EA93 monitor before its scheduled US release date. As someone that thinks there is a good market for ultrawide displays, the 21:9 aspect ratio was very interesting to me, and something I wanted to take a look at...

Review Roundup: Get a bigger picture with an ultrawide 29-inch display

LG's 29EA93P is stylish and it's equipped with pretty good speakers (for a monitor, that is).

Built-in USB 3.0 hub ; Very good off-axis viewing

Limited ergonomic flexibility

All four of these displays performed well overall. For folks who want to use an extrawide screen to handle multimedia, the LG 29EA93P, with its decent built-in speakers, would be the best choice. The NEC EA294WMi delivers the most accurate colors and...

product mostly OK. LG support non-existent

Out of the box when I purchased this (May 2013), Screen split did not work. The required software failed to launch or if it did, all options were greyed out. Contacted support and the said the monitor is plug and play and there is no software for the...

ultra wide and high resolution. Lots of features. Good picture quality

Drivers flaky. Software for features crash frequently. USB 3.0 hub frequently causes blue screen crashes with particular applications. LG support will not respond to my request for warranty service for faulty Display Port input

This monitor is amazing!

Just received this monitor. The colors are absolutely incredible. Brings a breath of fresh air to movies and games. I came from a triple monitor setup because this LG Monitor had the 4 split screen feature for my programming work. Not quite as tall as...

Only con is that my speakers and HDMI audio won't sync together. I'm sure I could do it somehow, but it doesn't bug me that much. None really

Worked Great at frist

Looks great and, large paper weight when not working to keep things held down

Issues powering up. After going into standby mode for long periods of time it shuts off and does not turn back on - unless you unplug the power cord and plug it back in

Absolutely beautiful monitor. Some people dis on the resolution, but after trying multiple games, I find it awesome. See a lot of detail in games that wasn't apparent on my old ASUS monitor

Beautiful picture. Fantastic colors

Height non adjustable

Great monitor!

Overall great great monitor. Just it's price is a bit high!

Beautiful design, simple clean and great looking ; Picture quality is great and the monitor menus are very easy to use. Also the touch buttons are pretty sweet ; Sound is pretty average, not at all bad but anything over 100% when using VLC get's noisy...

Not a con if you did your research. While the bevels are extremely thin, the screen does not reach end-to-end. The only real con i can think of is the price. Had it been cheaper i'd be running on 3 of these... alas all i have is 1 ; Also unfortunately...

Beautiful screen - 2 weeks later it won't power on

Really crisp, great for side by side window work

I've had it less than two weeks, just sitting on my desk, working great, and now it suddenly won't power on
