The versatile, 2.75-pound InFocus IN1102 is a superior choice for a double-duty, lamp-based projector that delivers bright, colorful images both in large conference rooms and in cozy living rooms.
Superior image quality; long power cord
No HDMI digital support; weak built-in speaker
With its substantial light output of 2200 lumens, the IN1102 can deliver a viewable screen in rooms with considerable ambient light, without losing image quality. Its native 1280 by 800 (WXGA) resolution and wide aspect ratio make it a good match for ...

Optoma's compact, 2.4-pound EW330 is a lamp-based ultraportable projector that features 1280 by 800 resolution and enough illumination power for use in a large conference room.
Comparatively low price; HDMI support for digital display
Awkward remote control; no built-in speaker; limited range of keystone control
The EW330 has a native wide aspect ratio (16:10) that makes it a perfect delivery system for a presentation from a widescreen laptop. It's also a good match for projecting widescreen DVDs and HDTV, and it includes an HDMI port for displaying digital ...

Although Toshiba's DMF82X digital frame offers various Wi-Fi capabilities, its ease of operation leaves a lot to be desired.
Wireless content streaming; attractive design
Cryptic menu icons; interface can be sluggish; can't hang on a wall due to power adapter
To access the frame's menu, you can use the included remote, whose tough buttons require a lot of pressure. Or you can use the touch-sensitive controls along the right side of the frame. The controls allow you to access the menu and to change modes, ...

While the ImpactV has some interesting features, you can find similar frames that don't have some of the issues of the ImpactV.
Includes Wi-Fi, can e-mail photos to frame via eSterling's site
Accessing e-mailed photos is time-consuming; cannot shuffle slide shows
The ImpactV's touch-panel border for accessing the controls was hit-or-miss, and I found that the frame was also a magnet for fingerprints. Although the frame does connect to a network and can download pictures from RSS feeds, you can update only 20 ...

Dell's tiny M109S is a palm-size LED projector with a low brightness rating of only 50 lumens, which makes it best suited for very small groups in dark or dimly lit conference rooms.
Highly mobile and barely weighs one pound; 10,000 hours of LED light
Very low brightness; bare bones feature set; touch-sensitive control buttons are very small and makes navigating the on-screen menus difficult
The downside is that Dell had to sacrifice some features in order to achieve the M109S's ultralight design. It has a low native resolution of 858-by-600 pixels, which means you have to turn down the resolution on your Mac and you won't get the best ...

Sony's DPF-D80 digital picture frame has nice image quality and slideshow features.
Good picture quality ; can handle nested folders on a memory card ; stylish
Very fingerprint-prone ; does not play video ; no Wi-Fi
You navigate the frame's controls via five buttons along the back of the screen's right side. I found the menus easily navigated and nested logically, but if you touch the front of the frame while using the controls you'll leave a terrible mess of ...

With its real wood, double-matted, and glassed frame, HP's df820 digital picture frame looks about as close to a traditional picture frame as you can get.
Excellent image quality; easy to use
No wireless feature; ome may not like reflective glass on frame
The df820's 7-inch, 800-by-600-pixel display produced excellent results in our tests, with natural-looking, saturated, and detailed pictures. It also displays video (in MPEG or motion JPEG) and plays MP3s with your slide show or video. The sound on ...

As a basic frame, the SPX8WF works and the picture quality is satisfying. But the Windows-only features will have many users looking elsewhere.
Wi-Fi enabled; excellent image quality; can e-mail pictures to the frame; motion sensor
Windows Live feature useless for Mac users; bundled software is Windows only; glass-covered frame quite reflective
Images on the SPX8WF's 800-by-600-pixel screen appeared with a slightly green cast if you looked with a keen eye. The frame unfortunately has no controls for adjusting the image quality, but overall, the image quality is excellent

The VG 2427wm is a good choice for users who need a big screen for text-intensive work.
Sharp text
Dull colors at times; noticeable jittering with motion graphics
The VG2427wm also did a fairly good job of rendering color, though in one photo--a picnic scene with various red, green, and blue hues--we found the color to be slightly dull in comparison to other displays we've tested

HP's 2009m is an affordable 20-inch widescreen display that produced impressive image quality in our subjective tests.
Impressive image quality ; good text ; easy to use on-screen controls
Limited display maneuverability
The 2009m's 16:9 aspect ratio and 1,600-by-900 native resolution makes it appropriate for showing HD content. However, the 2009m does not have an HDMI connection—-it offers only VGA and DVI ports. The ports are set in at the back of the display; to ...
