Philips 170S5

The 170S5 from Philips Electronics is a 17-inch LCD monitor with a street price of around $430, in the middle range among 17-inch models. Unfortunately, it has a limited feature set and some image flaws that make it less appealing than many of its...

Generally good image quality. Auto-sync function works well. Good documentation on CD

Limited viewing angle. Weak on light-gray performance. Tilt-only base

The Philips 170S5 monitor has limited features and some image-quality flaws that make it difficult for it to rise above its competitors. Other monitors offer more for the same price or lower.

15IN LCD 1024x768 75hz 400:1 150p4cg White Built-in Spkr/mic

Something of a mixed bag, the Philips 150P4 has an industrial design that is simple to the point of clumsiness, and yet it has surprisingly sophisticated adjustment software. This well-designed, useful software includes a wizard-based application...

We rated the screen quality as Good for both text and graphics, but this still leaves the 150P4 near the back of the pack of 15-inch LCDs we've tested recently. None of our test screens looked particularly bad, but neither were they particularly...

15IN/15.OV 30mm 1024x768 75hz 150p TFT LCD Dvi-d/vga Black

WHAT'S HOT: This handsome panel comes primed to display images in either analog or digital mode. The 150P delivered solid image performance in our tests. In analog mode it ranked near the middle of the pack for both text and graphics, but in digital...

Although its price is a bit high, the 150P's extensive set of features and its solid performance make it excellent for presentations.

philips 190S6FS/75

Unlike most of the other monitors in this round-up, we had to increase the refresh rate of our graphics card in order to eliminate some slight ghostin...

fast response time

Had to increase the refresh rate of our graphics card, slight blur with motion blur tests

This monitor produced the clearest picture in our motion blur tests and should definitely be considered if you want a large screen for games. Its colour capabilities, despite being a 6-bit panel, were also comparatively good, as was its brightness...

Philips 170S5FB LCD Monitor

If you were contemplating going for the change from CRT to LCD and were procrastinating due to poor quality of the screens or high price of a good LCD monitor, you may be in for a surprise how good they have become and how affordable they really are.

Excellent LCD!!!

This is a excellent LCD flat panel monitor for a great price. If you want to clear up space on your desk, to have a great picture & have a great overall monitor, this is the LCD for you. Highly recommended!!!

This is a great LCD monitor for someone looking to save space & money!!! It has a great picture & it's response time is awesome. Also, it is so light, I could probably tape it to the wall. I love it

The only bad thing is that I did not get 2 at once & save on shipping

Wonderful Panel

My major uses are web surfing, movies, and games, and this panel is PERFECT. I have seen no ghosting at all, either in high-contrast or medium-contrast games. Movies are rendered perfectly (once brightness is set right ;) ), and the viewing angle is...

Great Gamer

Had this for about 2 months now, no problems or dead pixels. No ghosting whatsoever in any game I've played (Call of Duty, Doom 3, Half-Life 2, CS:Source, NFSU, etc...). DVDs look superb on this thing. I'll never even consider buying a CRT again. IF...
