Consumer review (newegg.com)

Very nice!

Planar custom support rocks!

I GOT THIS MONITOR AS A REPLACEMENT ; About 2 years ago, I bought the PL2010M model. It's similar, except only had a tilt stand. Anyways, after 2 years of good service, it decided to change its manufacturer, model, and specs... to a Novatek something...

Cons? For a free high-end 1600x1200 LCD monitor? Hah! Although, not being able to change all of the options with a DVI connection is silly

Excellent and dependable

You can unscrew the base from the monitor and rotate 180 degrees to have a dual monitor arrangement in portrait mode with the thin edge of the bezels side by side to minimize the gap between the monitors.

Outstanding, bright, sharp monitor. I have approximately 20 and all have stood up well. The longest for about 3 years. I chose this monitor based on luminance, dynamic range. Response time is less of an issue because we do not review dynamic images. We...

In 20 monitors, I have only had one come with 1 dead pixel

Excellent Monitor

Good - but pricey - but worth the extra $ IMO

Excellent monitor - worth every penny - dot pitch of .255 is dead give away - as is the 1600x1200 resolution and the UVGA designation - full 3 year warranty and they will ship a replacement monitor while you are returning yours prepaid by them = what's...

None so far - no dead pixels

PLANAR PL2011M Black 20.1" 6ms LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 Built-in Speakers

While the picture is very crisp and bright, the lack of adjustability can be annoying. This seriously impacts its usefulness for some applications.

Beautiful, bright picture, good contrast. Speakers are decent

As another reviewer mentioned, you can't adjust color temp (or much of anything) if you are using a DVI connection. This odd drawback seems to be unique to this monitor

Great image, poor controls

So much for a somewhat high end monitor; without the ability to adjust the color temp, this is unusable for any desktop publishing / photo work as the color is way off.

Beautifully crisp image, one of the best I've seen on an LCD monitor

According to Planar tech support, if you use a DVI cable, you cannot adjust contrast or color temperature; those controls are only available when using an analog cable! This is absolutely unacceptable, and not the case with competitor's models

Good monitor

Sometimes in games, there is a bit of ghosting but im not sure if its the monitor or my graphics drivers' fault. I havent used the speakers or mic jack. Just so you know, the specs say vertical refresh rate is 49-75 Hz but at 1600x1200 using DVI plug...

I've had this monitor for 4 months and no dead pixels. High resolution is great for games or anything else you would want to do. The tilting ability of this monitor is crazy cool and easy. fairly small bezel is nice as well

a little heavy(20 lbs.) which makes it difficult to take to lan parties but thats no biggy. Built-in monitor menu is a little difficult but i haven't spent much time in it

Really Good

Built-in speakers are pretty weak..though they are good for headphones which I use. I haven't played games on it yet, but this isn't meant to be a gaming monitor, or meant to be used on pathetic OS like winblows :P

Solid monitor. No dead pixels. The stand is very sturdy, and the appearance is very professional and not cheap at all. As for the performance, I've had no problems with it (currently using it on FreeBSD btw). The contrast ratio is great. I sit infront...

Good stuff

Worth its money (I compare it with over 20 different LCD sin my company, if I have to buy again I would buy this one.

All the specs are true... Great bright picture, natural colors, beats my old CRD compated side by side

Monitor manu is clumsy and unclear... There isn't an easy way to switch betwee ports VGA and the other port... But all that's minor stuff
