Samsung CF791 review

I have enough ambivalence about curved monitors to fill a 34-inch screen. For games? No question it's good. For movies and work, though, it gives pause. Most movies use a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio so at best they float in the middle of a 21:9 screen....

The Samsung CF791 34-inch curved display is a great size for gaming, and the combination of a 100Hz refresh rate and FreeSync pairs well with midrange Radeon cards. Plus, its color is pleasing.

It only has two USB ports and the integrated stand makes life awkward for VESA mounters.

Big, bright and reasonably accurate, the 34-inch curved Samsung CF791 is a bit expensive for a FreeSync monitor but offers a generous feature set and solid performance for the money if you're a Radeon gamer.

Samsung CF791 ultrawide curved gaming monitor review

The Samsung CF791's pitch-perfect colors change the game for ultrawides.

Stellar contrast ratio ; Slick design ; Luxuriantly large display ; Excellent picture quality ; Extremely accurate color after calibration

Video content can be hard to find ; Speakers are sub-par

Ultrawide curved monitors are impressive to behold. They just look great. They’re aesthetically pleasing, they create a luxuriant workspace that supplants typical two-monitor setups, and they’re immersive. Size and scope often compensate for any...

Samsung CF791 34-Inch Curved Widescreen Monitor Review

I had been looking into ultra-wide displays for a while and talking with Samsung they said they had just the display for me to check out, it was their CF791 34

– 34-inch with a 1500R curve ; – Quantum Dot technology ; – WQHD (3440×1440) resolution ; – USB 3.0 hub ; – Easiest height adjustment I’ve seen on a display of this size

– None that I found

It has been a real joy using the Samsung CF791 display over the past few weeks. It is not often I am very impressed with a piece of technology, but with the CF791 I am basically like “Samsung take my money”, it really is that good! I feel like Samsung...

Samsung CF791 review: A stunning quantum dot 34in curved gaming monitor

Another fantastic quantum dot curved monitor from Samsung; expensive, but well worth it

Good colour accuracy and contrast ratio ; Dramatic 1500R curvature ; Impressive integrated speakers

Expensive

Its 3,440 x 1440 resolution provides ultra-crisp visuals and, coupled with great colour accuracy and a surprising lack of ghosting and motion blur, it’s suitable for not just the photo editor but also the competitive gamer. In short, Samsung has...

Stunning

Sitting in front of monitors for the last 15 years, the CF791 takes that experience to an entirely new level. I was blown away. The quality, brightness, coloring, design, VERSA compatible adapter...I just can't say enough about how cool this thing is....

Bright display ; Durable ; Built-in speakers

Samsung LC34F791WQUXEN

Out the box it is impressive, comes with stand already fitted so it's just taking the protective wrapping off and on your desk. It comes with hdmi, dp and usb to pc cables and they color match in white which is a nice simple touch. You also get a wall...

No real bad points, a few niggles that I mentioned above but nothing you don't soon get over.
