Samsung LS27D590CS-ZA

A stylish, 27-inch, curved-screen monitor, the Samsung LS27D590C delivers good overall performance, but is light on features.

Sleek design. Solid performance. Dark blacks. Wide viewing angles

No USB ports. Limited stand adjustments

With six different models currently on the market, Samsung is leading the charge on curved-screen monitors. The LS27D590CS-ZA ($399.99) reviewed here is a 27-inch display that uses a Vertical Alignment (VA) panel to deliver good color and gray-scale...

Samsung S27D590P review

Samsung's 27-inch S27D590P monitor provides excellent image quality at a low price, but how does it compare to the competition?

Thin bezel ; Easy to use on-screen controls ; Good color accuracy ; Bright picture with reasonable contrast ; Affordable

Stand does not adjust ; No VESA mount ; No DVI input

The Samsung S27D590P offers strong image quality at an affordable price. Both it and the S27D390H can beat much more expensive monitors from last year, and they hold up well against current competition also. They’re not perfect, but they do provide...

Samsung LS27D590PS

The Samsung LS27D590PS is a sharp-looking 27-inch monitor that displays inky blacks, robust colors, and wide viewing angles. It's not equipped with a lot of features, though, and it's a bit more expensive than competing models.

Stylish design. Solid performance. Dual HDMI inputs

Pricier than other monitors in its category. Limited feature set

The Samsung LS27D590PS ($329.99) is an elegantly designed 27-inch monitor based on Plane Line Switching (PLS) panel technology, which is Samsung's answer to the popular In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology developed by Hitachi and manufactured by LG....

No dead pixels after 8 or 9 months of ownership

Brightest, sharpest screen I've ever owned. The curve makes more of the screen usable, I don't have to "center" my work so much. A flat 27" wouldn't never work so great there. Very Light, easy to move. Fast response time of 4ms is faster than most flat...

It's Big! The speakers aren't such a much, but then I never expected on-board speaks to be worth much anyway

Really nice monitor!

This monitor is a great buy. All of my friends and family have made nice comments when they first saw it. It really is impressive. I've been looking for a monitor that can produce the picture quality that this one offers for some time now. I play a lot...

Though it's a 4ms, with the game mode setting, this screen really shines ; The screen is not over done with its curve, it actually helps my eyes, as they are weak, and they seem to be less strained with this monitor ; Also the base of the monitor takes...

I need to manually activate game mode each time the monitor comes on, even if it was just sleeping

Not good for work station

Not for daily work station. Resolution of 1920 x 1080 is fine for videos , but text seems slightly blurred to me

Multi-Purpose Need

I would like to see this in a dedicated NVIDIA G-Sync model at 2560 x 1440, as an IPS with 144hz. But for now, I am enjoying this very much.

The monitor is very crisp, the picture is bright and vibrant. I am on the computer for long periods of time, either doing work or relaxing gaming. The monitor only has a 60hz refresh rate, however that has not been an issue. It's a VA panel, therefore...

Love it

I bought mine at Sam's Club.

Nice image, great image stability, no graining or graininess, no pixelation. No issues at all

weight? cost? actually no negatives that I have found. Lack of DVI port was a minor hinderance and not worth knocking an egg off for. Just went out and bought a HDMI cable

Good quality sound but...

I was looking for an inexpensive 27" monitor with a thin bezel to use in a dual monitor setup. The SD590 (S27D590P) was a great choice. I was able to get mine locally (open box) for under $200 each. PICTURE QUALITY: Of course a 27" 1080p monitor is not...

Bright and sharp (after adjustments) ; Lots of adjustment options ; Sleek and beautifiul

No VESA mount holes ; VGA and HDMI only ; Port location ; No swivel or height adjustment
