SyncMaster 215TW

Big, Bright Widescreen Display

Great color and brightness. Extensive input options. Instant input switching ; Weak speaker. Display modes seem a bit gimmicky

Weak speaker. Display modes seem a bit gimmicky

The SyncMaster 215TW should be on your short list if you plan to upgrade from a smaller desktop display.

Good value, service

Great picture for business apps and gaming, great value, crappy sound, but really--does anyone expect integrated speakers to sound like anything other than garbage? Rotating the display works flawlessly, but the base feels a little flimsy during the...

Great service and support, clean picture

Rotation feels a bit flimsy, lame speakers

This monitor is terrible.

Turned the monitor on and spent several hours trying to get the colors just right. The monitor has too much red by default and blues tend to fade into violents/purple at times. I had the monitor hooked up for a few hours and a blue vertical line now...

The monitor came with a DVI cable and a power cable

blue vertical line, too much red, blues not always blue

Samsung SyncMaster 215TW (black)

This is a great monitor. It has a great picture quality, many adjustable options. It has component, VGA, DVI, S-Video, RCA (AV)Inputs and I haven't seen one with at least one dead pixel. Excellent Monitor works great with Windows Vista, Xbox 360 and...

exellent quality and performance

It took me a long time to find the right monitor for my specific uses; this monitor also doubles as a TV for my satellite system, and monitor for game console. Images are sharp and bright. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but considering the...

audio visual plug ins, bright sharp screen

can not say anything negative about this monitor

Best widescreen LCD computer monitor under $500

After cruising numerous stores and viewing many LCD computer monitors in the 20 to 22 inch size, it was apparent that the most value was to be had with the Samsung SyncMaster 215TW. While there were some 22 and 23 inch widescreen monitors that matched...

HD-like DVD movie playback, crystal clear text, stunning color rendition, wide viewing angle

Has been working great for almost 6 months

I think I got one of the very first of these units the week they appeared in Best Buy. I use it as a computer monitor on my mac, but right after I got it, I also hooked up my DVD player to test it, and it looked great for playing DVDs too. I'd...

Great video quality, Just about every video input type available, DVI input has HDCP even

Component video input is limited to 480p

Great monitor for gaming and video

Now that I own a widescreen, I will never go back to 4:3. The 1680x1050 resolution is less taxing than 1900x1200 on my system, every game looks and runs great. I'm not an expert, this is my first LCD, but this monitor blows my 9 year old 21" hitachi...

Huge, no ghosting, wide screen format is great for gaming. Built in speakers are decent for TV. It has plenty of inputs for different components. HDCP compliant

It isn't a 30" widescreen

Nice features, but TERRIBLE quality control.

I'm on my 2nd monitor now. The first one was fine for about 3 weeks, then all of a sudden, a 2 inch blue vertical line appeared at the bottom of my screen. I checked all my settings (tried different resolutions and refresh rates), switched cables and...

excellent features (wide-screen 1680x1050 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response rate, headphone jack) nice picture and text quality, the pip feature is nice

Serious quality control issues

Great but with reliability problems

Old but still loved monitor with excellent picture clarity, great viewing angle (thanks to S-PVA matrix) and support for different input types. Gets 4 not 5 stars from me because this model is notorious for bad capacitors that tend to leak after 1-3...
